VISCOUNT IN LOVE by Eloisa James Review

About VISCOUNT IN LOVE:

VISCOUNT IN LOVE opens with Torie Sutton, a free-spirited artist who is known amongst the ton for a most unfortunate reason: she can’t read. She longs for a man who values her as she is, but entering her third season, she’s yet to experience the slightest pang of love. That is, until two unruly—yet charming—children enter her life.

Suddenly guardian to twins, Viscount Dominic Kelbourne is luckily betrothed to a suitable lady—until she elopes. With no time to woo, Dominic sets his sights on a new bride: Torie, his former fiancée’s unconventional sister. Torie doubts Dominic is capable of love, let alone respect, but marries him for the sake of the children.

However, when their passionate kisses and heated debates turn into something more, Torie begins to imagine a life as a true wife, not as a nanny with a noble title. And when the arrogant viscount finds that his viscountess has stolen his heart, he must give all he has to win her love.

About the Author:
Eloisa James is a USA Today and New York Times bestselling author and professor of English literature, who lives with her family in New York, but can sometimes be found in Paris or Italy. She is the mother of two and, in a particularly delicious irony for a romance writer, is married to a genuine Italian knight.

My Review:
This is a classic love story of falling in love. Especially when the person you end up loving, already loves your kids. This story differs in a few ways. First, the kids are not your average well-behaved children. They speak what is on their mind, and it is often seen as inappropriate conversation. Next, they are Dominic's niece and nephew that he adopts. not his son and daughter. Finally, Torie is not your average heroine. She can not read and loves art. I really enjoyed the ending of the story in response to her art. I did not see it coming.  I did think that the book could have been a lot shorter. The end was drawn out. There was a lot of Torie and Dominic going back and forth, especially when I knew that they were going to end up together. I also would have liked more of a background of Dominic's family. They seemed to have big parts in the current situation but were never really expanded on. However, I love the ton, and how there were bans. I really also liked that Torie was not Dominic's first fiancée. I am giving this book a 3/5. I was given a copy, however all opinions are my own.
