Only chance again brings them all together in one final deadly dance of terror.

Death's Angel is the first of my Al Warner series. He's an unusual blend of compassion and a hard-nosed, no nonsense cop, with a complicated personal life, some what in the vein of Patterson's ALEX CROSS. Enjoy the novel, and the character, because there's more to come. The 2nd Warner novel will be published in early 2015.


My review;

Detective Al Warner is working again after he has been shot and has recovered. There is a killer going after women in South Florida and he is trying to solve these crimes. It is not easy because he has not been sleeping and he has been getting headaches. The name of the killer is finally figured  out  but, they unable to identify his identity and his real name. Warner has to hurry up and find out who the killer is before he tries to kill his girl friend and make her the next on his list. This book is full of action and suspense. I give this book a 4/5. I was given this book for a  review and these are all my opinions.

My review:

This book has a little of everything. There is mystery, science fiction, adventure and of course drama. As I read through the book, and it is a little too long for me, however it is the first three books in the series together in one volume, I found out that secrets are everywhere. They are from our past and in our future, I liked the astronomy and the star plot. I traveled all over Earth and all over the Solar System in this book. This book is only book one too. I can not wait to read where else this author wants to take us. I also liked that there were family conversations in this book. They were just a family and the son happens to find something. His action set a lot into motion. The ending leaving me wanting for me. What is awaiting these characters? This is the first three books of this series. I am giving this book a 4/5. My Review:

this is a collection of 54 stories, and each one fits in the fantasy genre. However they range all over the genre and there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy. Some are scary, some are weird and some are out there. Then there are the ones that could happen, and those were the ones that I had to stop and think about before I moved on to the next story. There were so many good ones that I can not pick a favorite, but really like the book as a whole. These were in a magazine, and I will be looking into becoming a subscriber! I am giving this book a 5/5! I was given a copy to review from the author via DGT, however all opinions are my own. 

Earh Allies by V. A. Farria Book Review

While walking through the forest one day, Ethan encounters two fairy creatures. This encounter turns his life upside down. Ethan joins with the fairies in a race against time to change the course of a global pending doom.

My review;

The first thing I noticed when I opened this book I was the beautiful colorful borders on the pages. All children love fairies and fairy tales. This book is a wonderful book for all children. Ethan is a young boy who also believes in fairies after he meets them face to face. Ethan goes on to try to get people to believe him and help him. The question is will they help him save Mother Earth? I give this book a 4/5. I was given this book for the purpose of a review from DGT and all opinions are my own.

I Truly Lament—Working Through the Holocaust is a varied collection of stories: inmates in death camps; survivors of these camps; disenchanted Golems complaining about their designated rounds; Holocaust deniers and their ravings; collectors of Hitler curiosa (only recently a few linens from Hitler’s bedroom suite went up for sale!);  an imagined interview with Eva Braun during her last days in the Berlin bunker; a Nazi camp doctor subtly denying his complicity; and the love story of a Hungarian cantor, among others.

My Review:

I have heard and read a lot of stories about the Holocaust. This book is different because it is a collection of stories from different aspects of this tragedy. I had a lot of different emotions as I read them. I was sad for the victims and then I was so mad at the doctors. The Eva Braun interview was interesting to read what she might have said. The glossary of terms was helpful because there were a lot of words I did not know, like appell. The stories are short and easy to read, even though they are about something awful. The quotes in between the stories were very appropriate, and very thought provoking. My favorite was on page 173 "I was soul murdered early". I am giving this book a 4/5.
