Families Set to Experience the Entire Story of Frozen For the First Time in Hartford

Hartford, CT, September 26, 2017 – Feld Entertainment, Inc., the worldwide leader in producing live touring family entertainment, announces it will bring the Academy Award® winning and number one animated feature film of all time, Disney’s Frozen, to life. Disney On Ice presents Frozen visits Hartford from January 11th to January 15th for 8 performances at Hartford’s XL Center.

The complete adventure of the Academy Award® winning tale will be told live for the first time in this production, capturing the dynamic of two royal sisters, Anna and Elsa. Anna, a girl with an extraordinary heart, embarks on an epic journey to find her sister, the magical Elsa, who is determined to remain secluded as she finally feels free to test the limits of her powers. Rugged mountain man Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, the lovable and hilarious snowman Olaf and the mystical trolls help Anna along the way in this story about love conquering fear. Audiences will get to sing along with such musical masterpieces as “Let it Go,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “Fixer Upper.”

“In our more than 30 years of producing Disney On Ice shows, Feld Entertainment has been waiting for a film like this,” says producer Nicole Feld. “While it might seem obvious that Frozen is well suited for the ice, this Disney On Ice production will touch audiences emotionally through innovative show elements and world-class skating.”

Frozen directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee add, “Seeing audiences around the world embrace Frozen has been the experience of a lifetime. And to now have the chance to consult with the talented team at Feld Entertainment and watch their creation come to life on ice, is thrilling.”

In Disney On Ice presents Frozen, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse take the audience through the magical story based in Arendelle, with special appearances by beloved Disney princesses and favorite characters from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story and Finding Nemo and Disney’s The Lion King, who come together to prove that true love is the greatest power of all. Director Patty Vincent says,

“Our goal is to showcase these heartwarming characters in a way that allows the audience to cheer along throughout this emotional journey.”

To create a completely immersive experience for the audience, the set design will encompass the space from the ice surface up through the air, drawing everyone into the story and closer to the characters. Families will feel that they are trekking up to the North Mountains with Anna, Kristoff and Sven, and they will tangibly experience the storm inside Elsa. Elsa’s magic will be enhanced by state-of-the art special effects while her emotions will be conveyed through powerful skating.

Disney On Ice Dream Big at the Hartford XL Center Review

Tinker Bell Whisks Audiences through Inspirational Disney Tales and the Princesses that Made them Possible
Believing is just the beginning when dreamers around the country witness the empowering tales of Disney’s most courageous leading ladies told through artistic skating and acrobatics in Disney On Ice presents Dream Big. Audiences are invited to join eight Disney Princesses – Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tiana, Jasmine, Aurora and Snow White – as they embark on incredible adventures, determined to make their dreams come true. In addition, experience the sisterly love that has captivated millions as Disney’s Frozen is brought to life on the icy stage.
This show is the best that I have seen.

Agrabah

Aladdin and Jasmine did fantastic jumps and lifts. It is amazing to see, especially because they do them in skates!

Snow White

All seven dwarfs were there!

Beauty and The Beast! Be our Guest!!! I had to sing along!

The Little Mermaid! Sebastian!!

Bubbles!

Flounder and Ariel's sisters!

Oh no! It's Ursula ... Don't sign it Ariel!!

Sleeping Beauty... Maleficent is mad!

Cinderella !

Frozen was last. They definitely saved the best for last!!! It is heart warming to hear how much kids in the audience love this movie. The smiles were priceless. My niece and nephew loved it. My niece told me on the way home that it was like seeing the movie live! The snow was a sight to see.

Elsa! They showed her coronation ! She sang "Let It Go", and everyone in the audience sang along. I sang along as well. When she slammed her skate on the ice it was magical! There are really no words to describe it, you need to see it.

And Olaf!

Anna was there, Hans and Kristof.

The music was perfect for singing along, the outfits made the dancers come to life and the dancing was very enjoyable to watch. What a great way to spend my 35th birthday.

Tomorrow I will be posting more pictures from hubby's memory card! I am so glad that Feld Entertainment gave me the opportunity to check out this show. I was given tickets, all opinions are my own.

Disney on Ice Review

This was the stage when we got there. I have never in my life sat in row A. I was 2 feet away from the ice. I recommend buying these rows. The dancers are right in front of you and are life size.

As soon as Lumiere came out I thought of the song "Be Our Guest" and I was so happy when it came on! I could not help singing along.

In the beginning everyone is invited and I got a preview of the characters that I was going to see.

It is amazing how great the dancers are. I was excited to see Dopey, and Geppetto. I forgot who the Blue Fairy was (but my nephew corrected me).

This show was all about celebrations and the first celebration was a birthday party. Poor Pinocchio lied and said it was his birthday. True to the story, his nose grew before my eyes!

Then The Mad Hatter showed up and the White Rabbit. Of course they had to have an unbirthday party! The show was for children and adults to enjoy! I found myself laughing when they all said that they knew the rabbit was late!

Magical Broomsticks!

This was my favorite part. I did not expect it, and I absolutely loved it. It was Halloween!

This is the "door" that the characters ring the bell at to trick or treat. I could not believe who showed up!

These are the zombie dancers!

Cruella De Vil !!!! When I was younger my parents got me the tickets to the screening of 101 Dalmatians! They are my favorite! When I saw her close up, I could not believe it. The experience is truly one you can not imagine unless you see it for yourself.

Then Captain Hook, Jafar, Maleficent, and the evil witch with the poison apple.

I was watching the other skaters and all of a sudden this witch was in front of me! This is how close she was. There is no zoom used at all. I did get a little scared!

Mickey comes to get rid of the villains.

Minnie then calls her Fairy Godmother and has the princesses help her find true love. The audience helps her with her three magical words. This is Aladdin and Jasmine. I had to sing along to their song too.

Beauty & The Beast !

Cinderella & Prince Charming

Mulan

Snow White

I liked that the other princesses stayed on stage and watched each others dances.

Tiana

Then they make a receiving line for Mickey and Minnie. The Fairy Godmother says that she has done it again!

There were lifts, and twirls and dance moves that I can not even name.

More dance moves !

Then Mickey and Minnie visit places all over the world for different celebrations.

That is real fire !

Lilo and Stitch stopped by!

The costumes were Stunning.

The lighting also added to the show.

This Dragon was so synchronized that it really looked like it was flying through the air.

New Orleans!

Christmas was last. Santa is stuck in the Chimney!

Then the toys came out.

This is my nephew, and my brother in law. My nephew loves Toy Story and was so happy to see them!

For the end, all the dancers came back out.  It's Snowing!

My nephew also really loves Dopey! It's snowing!

I liked the white outfits!

I had a really fun time. I think that there was a good assortment of characters and they were equally spread out.

I was given tickets to review the show, however all opinions are my own.
