Little Green & ESPete by Arnold Rudnick Reviews

Arnold Rudnick has a gift for creating fascinating stories to challenge children toward self-improvement and self esteem. In LITTLE GREEN he introduces a little green frog (beautifully realized by illustrator Marcelo Goreman) who has big dreams to be special.

My Review:
I really liked this story. It was cute how the frog interacted with the other animals. The lesson of the book is perfect for young readers. You can be anything you want, except for someone else! The pictures were fun, and the way the words rhymed made for an easy read. I am giving this book a 5/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.

E.S. Pete: Sixth Grade Sense is about the perils of a paranormal preteen.

Pete knew there would be a lot more homework in Sixth Grade, but he didn't plan on the reading list including the minds of his teachers and classmates. Knowing what they think can be helpful sometimes, but it also gets complicated -- ESPecially when Pete thinks the substitute teacher is planning a big robbery.

My Review:
This was a really fun book. I would have loved to hear my teachers thoughts. Especially when they thought about assignments or answers. I was the kind of student that was a pain, but only when I knew I was right. his would have given me so much more information! I can only imagine how our conversations could have changed. I loved that this book was interactive and that i had to pick a number before I read. At the end of the book there is an ESP quiz that relates to that number! I picked the same number as Pete! This is sure to be a fun reads for kids. I am giving this book a 5/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
