BOOK
SUMMARY:
Power.
Money. Control. Love.
He
has all but one.
When movie star, Evan Carlson,
discovers his girlfriend’s picture with another man splashed on the cover of
gossip magazines, he decides he’s had enough of his fishbowl life and attempts
to outrun the media frenzy his relationships have become. Driving until the
road stops, he ends up on the remote and quaint Perry Island, where a
heartthrob can blend in like the locals and be a beach bum as long as he wants.
All that changes when Evan meets Haven Owen, aspiring songwriter and the girl
he just can’t get enough of. A summer romance turns into something much deeper
and Evan gets tangled in his own web of lies to keep Haven in his life. But
when his ex tracks him down, Evan learns there are some things you just can’t
outrun.
Is the cost of
love, losing all control?

Information
T.A. Foster is a Southern girl whose heart and spirit are connected to
the beach. She grew up catching rays and chasing waves along the North Carolina
Outer Banks and now resides in the state with her adventurous pilot husband,
two children and two canine kiddos.
Her long love affair with books started at an early age, and as soon as
she was able, she transformed imaginative stories into words on paper. Time
Spell is T.A.’s debut novel, and the first in a series about a very
adventurous, clever, and magical girl named Ivy.
T.A. has an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication
from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a graduate degree in
Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University. When she’s not chasing
her two-legged and four-legged children or trying to escape for date night, you
can find her reading, writing or planning her next beach trip.
Top 10 things you need to pack if
you’re going to escape to an island for the summer
In Finding
Haven Evan didn’t prepare for his trip to Perry Island. He took off with
nothing more than a duffle bag and a pile of cash. Sometimes we all need an
island escape just to take a breather from the pressures in our lives. So, if
you’re planning a runaway island exit (and not the stranded-on-an-island type),
here are some things you might want to consider before you disappear for a few
months with your toes in the sand and the wind in your hair.
1.
Big Sunglasses You
definitely don’t want to be recognized. Find the biggest sunglasses you can.
You know the ones you see the Olsen twins sporting.
2.
Books You’re going to have
some down time, so make sure you have some entertainment. There’s nothing
better than going to the beach with a good summer read. You might be there
awhile—take a few.
3.
Playlist
Every summer needs its own soundtrack. Get yours ready before you hit the road.
One day you’ll hear one of those songs and think back to your great summer days
(and maybe the nights).
4.
Sunscreen A
summer at the beach means you need lots of sun protection. The lobster look
still isn’t in.
5.
Hair Product
Beach hair is in, but depending on your hair you might need help taming the
extra waves the beach brings.
6.
Cash Part of staying under
the radar is making sure you don’t reveal your real name. Use cash when you can
and keep those credit card splurges low.
7.
Flip-flops
Island life means wearing flip-flops or no shoes at all. Take two pair: one
comfy and one stylish. You won’t need anything else.
8.
Cover Story
Figure out your cover story before you end up on the island. Make sure you
don’t change it up over the summer. Consistency is key to staying incognito.
9.
Beach Bag You
definitely need a place to keep all of the above items. Snag a cute straw bag
that you can use at the beach and if you go out for the night. Think
versatility like Day and Night Barbie. There’s always a beach bar or two on any
island where you can meet some locals and forget why you even wanted to get
lost.
10. Journal
Just like having that soundtrack embedded in your memory, one day you’re going
to want to look back on the summer you set out on your own and lived life to
its fullest. Write down every fun, pensive, and hot moment. You never know…one
day it may be the beginning of an excellent book ;-)

I would love to read this book during the summer. I love taking books down to the river to read while relaxing.
