Before Jody Carter and her three best friends ever set foot aboard the luxury cruise ship, Jody falls into the arms of uber hunky celebrity guest Taggart Keith, when he saves her shoe from falling to the depths of the sea. Their attraction is undeniable, but the recently divorced single mom knows the last thing she needs is to complicate her life in just seven short days. But that’s exactly what happens when Jody throws caution to the wind for once in her life and gives into a week of sensational pleasures. Taggart helps her discover her more sensual side–one tantalizing night at a time.

Excerpt:
Jody floated through the glittering dining room, the hot singe of Taggart’s fleeting kiss lingered on her lips. He made her crazy.
She tried to steady herself following Cricket, Lauren, and Doreen into the dining room as they quizzed her on how it was going with Taggart. She managed to satisfy them with a few details, seeming to settle their curiosities before they met Petunia, already at the table, sipping her drink.
As Jody sat down she couldn’t resist scanning the room in search of Taggart, but he was either still with that sexpot or at his table with the other lecturers. Craning her neck she scanned see the room.
“Looking for someone?” Petunia asked wryly.
“No,” Jody said a little too quickly. “Any luck looking for number six?” she asked Petunia desperate for a distraction.
“As a matter of fact, I did meet a very nice man, in the casino this afternoon. A widower too,” Petunia proudly pronounced.
“That sounds promising,” Lauren prompted, always eager for details.
“He’s from South Carolina, some sort of retired industrialist, has six children and cruises often.”
“Six children?” Doreen blurted out.
“Yes, six, wait, I think it was six....maybe it was seven.” Petunia sipped her Bells, enjoying teasing Doreen. “Honey, at his age, his kids will be older than any of you,” Petunia laughed, “Not exactly the toddlers in diapers you’re imagining. Some could even be getting ready to collect their 401K’s for all I know. Now tell me more about your children. Do you all have children?”
Cricket piped up right away about Brandon and Baxter. She dug in her tiny evening purse and produced not just one, but four pictures of the boys, dressed in everything from Little League uniforms to their Halloween costumes. Eagerly, she passed them around, pleased with everyone’s oohs and aahs at how cute her boys were. Jody was glad for the interlude as she daydreamed about Taggart and counted the minutes until she could see him later.
“My my, twins!” Petunia exclaimed, when the photos were passed to her.

“Little hellions,” Lauren said, under her breath. Jody quickly shot Lauren one of her looks and Lauren busied herself with her endive salad.
“Yes, they are identical,” Cricket glowed, oblivious to Lauren’s comments, “and everyone says they look just like Hugh. I could go on and on.”
“She could,” Doreen teased.
“How about you?” Petunia asked Doreen. “Do you and Don have children?”
Doreen shook her head and nibbled intently on a breadstick.
“None for me either,” Lauren added quickly. They all knew that look on Doreen’s face. The years Doreen and Don had tried unsuccessfully to have children were agony.
“Me neither,” Petunia chipped in seeming to pick up on Doreen’s dismay, “but you never know, this may be my chance to have six, or is it seven?” They all laughed and the mood lightened.
After a sumptuous meal, Jody savored her St. Honore cake, sipping her coffee and hoped Taggart would appear. No sooner had their server taken away their dessert plates, than she saw Taggart waving at her as he strode across the dining room. She couldn’t help herself, her smile widened and her cheeks flushed.
“Ladies,” he nodded and smiled at the women, before bending to give Jody a kiss on the lips. She thought Cricket’s eyes were going to pop out of her head,
“Well, I see you two are getting along just dandy,” Petunia said.
“And Taggart I must tell you, your lecture today was simply terrific.” She beamed up at him.
“You’re always so kind, Petunia, I don’t think you’ve missed one of my shipboard lecture series yet,” he said, taking a moment to make idle chitchat. The man was sure was good at it, must be his celebrity training.
As he stood behind her, Jody could feel the brush of his hands resting lightly on the back of her chair. He deliberately made light little circles with his fingertips. It was enough to make her crazy each time he moved his fingers, just grazing her skin. Teasing her, taunting her.
Excusing himself, he bid goodbye to the ladies, but not before he bent down, his breath so hot and seductive she had to still herself to stay seated.
“I’ll see you in room 276 later,” he whispered, burning a fire on her skin. “It’s just a few doors down from the laundry.” His hand touched her shoulder. “And don’t keep me waiting.”
Jody blushed when she realized all eyes were on her as he walked away.
