I was so excited to read this book because I really enjoy Kelly Long's books! This book has 3 short stories:
A Taste of Faith by Kelly Long
A Spoonful of Love by Amy Clipston
A Recipe For Hope by Beth Wiseman
I enjoyed A Taste of Faith because Kelly Long has a way with making you relate to her characters.
Imagning meeting someone and falling in love only to see him with another woman. This is the dilemna Fern has that she either has to over come or she may lose true love forever. A devastating loss makes her think of some wise words and smiles of a very smart woman. Abram is helping with all the young children, he feels out of place with Fern, or thinks he does. It takes a baby being born in an Amish kitchen for him to realize where he wants to be. With the "midwife" Fern! Is it too late?
A Spoonful of love was a very nice read and I enjoyed it a lot because of Hannah and how she may live in Paradise inn, but is far from living in Paradise. Stephen needs a room, but does he realize that Hannah just offered him an "endless" room? Does he know what others will say of what this Amish woman just did? Maybe Hannah is living in the right place, if tradgedies of the past do not interfere.
A Recipe for Hope is about Eve and her family moving in with her parents for 2 months due to her
being repaired from storm damage. However it is the relationships that are truly damaged. Will living unde the same roof bring Eve and her mom closer together, or will it be a crazy 2 months? There are a lot of extras in this book. There are reading group guides, and Amish recipes. I definitely recommend this book for any cook, or any fan of Amish Literature.
I was given a copy from booksneeze in exchange for this review, however all opinions are my own!
