Reunion By Carl Brookins Review

While still exploring their relationship, Jack Marston persuades his companion, psychologist Lori Jacobs to attend her high school class reunion with Jack as her escort. After a classmate is discovered brutally murdered at the reunion Jack and Lori are drawn into the search for the murderer and themselves targeted as they begin to reveal years of passion and corruption beneath the placid small-town surface of Riverview.

Before he became a mystery writer and reviewer, Brookins was a freelance photographer, a Public Television program director, a Cable TV administrator, and a counselor and faculty member at Metropolitan State University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He has reviewed mystery fiction for the Saint Paul Pioneer Press and for Mystery Scene Magazine. His reviews appear at Barnes & Noble and Amazon Internet sites, on his own web site, Books n' Bytes, and on the popular news group, DorothyL. Several authors with blogs carry his reviews as well. Brookins is an avid recreational sailor. With his wife and friends he has sailed in many locations across the world. He is a member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, and Private Eye Writers of America.

My Review:
Went I went to my 10 year reunion I was afraid of conflict because I was not popular, I could understand Lori's trepidation. However Jack goes with her and of course a dead body shows up. I expected Jack to help and Lori to like her new found popularity, However That was not the case. Especially when they became targets. Secret files, the local Godfather and evidence were all unexpected! I did not expect the end to happen the way it did, but it fit the killer. I am giving this book a 5/5. I was given a copy, all opinions are my own.
