cold killer who takes enjoyment from the kill. Nero is the son of a Viking and
a 1500-year-old vampire whose never been denied his pleasures before.
Until he meets Quill. He forces

woman cannot be possessed. Both must learn to give up their carefully afforded
control to let the other in. Only then may they have their happily forever

Excerpt:
“I thought I might choke and die
on your blood, but because I’ve already ingested some I would come back to
life… like you.” She looked up at, her eyes wide with the panic that had
gripped her before looking down at her feet again and taking a deep breath. She
hated feeling vulnerable in front of him like this. But most importantly she hated
not having all the answers like he seemingly did.
“The process is a little more complicated
than that, but you would be temporarily held in a state between beings until I
decided to claim you.”

Interview
Where are you from?
Originally I’m from Ontario, Canada but I’m
currently living in Nottingham, England with my husband.
Tell us your latest news?
My newest release Desecrated Beauty was made
available on Amazon on July 5th in Kindle format and in paperback!
When and why did you begin writing?
I’ve always been writing. I started writing stories
from a young age and as I got older I realized that this was what I wanted to
do as a career. I have a huge imagination and with so many stories rattling
around in my head writing them down seemed natural.
When did you first consider yourself a writer?
I think I’ve always considered myself a writer.
There hasn’t been a time when I wasn’t writing down the stories in my head. But
the first time I considered myself an author was actually about six or seven
months after my first book was published when a blog posted a review of my book
and I hadn’t even asked them for it. That made it all feel real.
What inspired you to write your first book?
I’ve always wanted to write a novel and I knew I
could but actually finishing a 50k+ manuscript seemed impossible. I’d tried
NaNoWriMo a few times and failed until 2012. I was in a new relationship – with
my now husband – and he was very supportive although we were doing long
distance (me in Canada and him in England). So writing every day and sending
him what I had really helped encourage me along. He was my first cheerleader
who gave me the push to do what I had always dreamed of because I didn’t want
to let him down by letting myself down.
Do you have a specific writing style?
I concentrate a lot more on character development
and dialogue than anything else in my writing. For me, I want the readers to
love and know the characters in the same way I do. It’s important for me to
have different characters with different voices and each one unique from the
last. This might also be because I have a degree minor in film studies and
films tell stories more from dialogue than anything else so I’m partial to this
form of story telling. But you will find there’s more dialogue in my stories
than descriptors.
How did you come up with the title?
I really struggle with titles. I don’t know why.
Some authors find it easy but for me it’s like brain surgery on myself and I
can’t do it. For Desecrated Beauty I actually took to Facebook and asked my
fans. They gave me suggestions and I took my favourites from those and had them
vote on them.
Is there a message in your novel that you want
readers to grasp?
Trust is a big message in all my books. Not just
learning to trust other people or a loved one but trusting yourself. I think
that’s something a lot of people can relate to.
How much of the book is realistic?
None of it. As much as I would love for vampires to
be real they aren’t sadly.
Are experiences based on someone you know, or events
in your own life?
No
What books have most influenced your life most?
Definitely the Harry Potter series. But I also love
Wally Lamb books for their characters. He has the most beautiful, fractured
characters I have ever read.
If you had to choose, which writer would you
consider a mentor?
I can’t really think of any. I don’t have a lot of
author friends, I only just started making them. Maybe in a few months time
this answer will change.
What book are you reading now?
Currently I’m reading Dracula by Bram Stoker, A Love
of Vengeance by Nancy Haviland and Night Play by Sherrilyn Kenyon… Yup,
couldn’t decide so I’m reading all three.
Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?
Nancy Haviland!
What are your current projects?
Currently I’m working on the next Twisted Fairy Tale
story – a retelling of Rumplestilskin with Faeries. I’m also finishing up
editing Tyranny of a Prince, which is the next book in my Grace of Gods series.
I’m also starting my first contemporary romance, which I’m excited for.
What would you like my readers to know?
I love interacting with readers so please feel free
to join me on my author page or my street team Kyleigh’s Muses. I always reply
to comments and messages because I want to get to know you as much as you want
to get to know me. I only started printing my books in paperback because
readers ask for it. You ask and I shall deliver!
