My Review:
This was a pretty good sequel. It answered questions, had a new victim, and the same great characters. I also ran for office before and liked how the author took me deep into the political world. She did a wonderful job of bringing the greed of politics right into an investigation. The CIA gets involved and there is more at stake then just power. Political power is bad enough, but the future of Louisiana is also stake.  I am giving this book a 4/5. I was given a copy to review via Bostick, however all opinions are my own.

Listen to me...” Savannah tried to call out from her hospital bed, but no one could hear. In a coma, she could not communicate the dangers she had discovered as her happily ever after world crumbled around her. While her race for political office had uncovered a web of scandals and lies, it paled in comparison to the darker secrets surrounding her husband Michael. If she could speak again, would it be too late? “Murder on False River delivers suspense, romance, and danger in a gripping page turner.” —Christee Atwood, Author In Celebration of Elastic Waistbands “You’ll be on the edge of your seat until the very last page!” —Erica M. My Review:

This book kept me on my toes. I had to keep reading. I really enjoyed the twists and turns, and I did not know where the book was going next. There was a cliffhanger at the end and I did feel like there was a lot more coming in book two.  I also liked the idea of the book and wonder if this is what coma patients really go through, and I wondered what they would say if they could talk. However my favorite part was the political campaign and how dirty people can be. I am giving this book a 4/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.

About the author:
Martha Manuel retired from state civil service in 2007 to run for state senator. While unsuccessful in her bid for office, the experience offered her an opportunity to view the electoral process firsthand. Martha's eminence as a registered representative with a major Wall Street investment firm; director of the EBR Parish Health Unit; and executive director of the Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs only highlight a few of the varied and coveted positions she has held, adding an unusual degree of credibility to her stories. Martha Manuel is also the author of Murder on False River.
