Title: The Lane Chronicles
Age group: Adult
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: 4/18/15
This box set includes Lovers Lane, Memory Lane, and Dead End
Lane.
LOVERS LANE
After her sister is
attacked and left clinging to life, Roxana Lane vows revenge on the man
responsible. But the closer she gets, the more detective Nathan Scott watches
her every move. With his piercing eyes that seem to miss nothing, Roxy finds it
harder and harder to hide her secrets… and stay out of his arms.
A contradictory mix of
strength and vulnerability, Roxy is a conflict of interest that fascinates him on
every level. But when the sexy amateur sleuth uncovers Scandal’s dark
underbelly, he must choose between the woman he wants and the law he
serves.
MEMORY LANE
The man who put Roxy
Lane’s sister in a coma is still living his wealthy, entitled life, hiding
behind a veil of privilege and power.
The law can’t touch
him. But Roxy isn’t the law, and he isn’t aware she’s watching… waiting…. For
it’s not due process she wants but vengeance.
Detective Nathan Scott
wants justice as much as Roxy, but with no evidence to investigate and pressure
from superiors to look in another direction, the clock is ticking.
And it’s only a matter
of time before the woman he’s come to care for takes matters into her own
hands.
DEAD END LANE
Despite Nate’s
assurance that Brody Harrison is under investigation for the assault on her
sister, there is an unrelenting darkness within her, demanding justice—swift,
brutal justice.
But before Roxy can
put her plan into motion, she stumbles upon Scandal’s dangerous underbelly.
Hunter becomes prey, and Roxy must decide which is more important—vengeance… or
her life.

Excerpt
Excerpt 1
“I requested one of his
specialties. He doesn’t make it often, so count yourself lucky.” She lifted one
foil-wrapped square. Once it made it to his hand, she continued, “Goat scrotum.
It grinds down into a great spread.”
He froze—one minute, a
living, breathing person. The next, an ice sculpture of terror.
Oh, the horror.
Laughter bubbled up her
throat. His jaw practically unhinged from the rest of his face, and his eyes,
if they got any wider, they would swallow his whole cranium. Taking pity, and
hiding her snickers with the back of her hand, Roxy said, “I’m joking.”
“Right. Ha-ha.” He let
her shove the food into his hand, but only stared at it for long beats. Hunger
must have won out because he gingerly unwrapped the sandwich—did he expect a
goat to explode from it?—and lifted the top slice of bread, eyeing the innocent
deli meat underneath. “It’s turkey,” he said on a relieved breath.
“Oh, shucks, and here I
was so hopeful.” She took a bite, trying not to laugh and spit her mouthful at
the way he watched her chew. The big, bad cop was afraid of goat balls, the
ninny. “I take it you don’t like goat scrotums?”
Despite the green cast
to his skin, his scowl was darker than a starless sky. “I don’t like any
scrotums. That’s not a real… thing. Is it?”
“Well, goats do have
them, as do men. But I prefer not to eat those.” She probably shouldn’t get
such a kick out of teasing him, but she rather liked this flustered version of
the buttoned-up detective. He was always so confident and controlled around
her. It would do him good to know how it felt to be off balance.

About Andris Bear
I blame my mother for
my fascination with books. Growing up in northern Indiana there wasn’t much to
do and I’d often complained of my boredom. My mom handed me a book and told me
to shush. I’ve been obsessed ever since. Though I spent most of my time in between
the pages, fantasizing of other worlds, I didn’t write my first book until I’d
had three children—just in time to have not a moment to myself. In an attempt
to keep my sanity, I write. My favorite stories contain strong heroes and
heroines, fighting an attraction stronger than both of them.
I live in eastern North Carolina with my hero and our three mini villains in chaotic bliss.
