A Noble Paradise by James Crawford
Charleston, SC – Author James Crawford is back with his new family drama based on real life experiences, A Noble Paradise.
A single father struggles to restore his family after wrongfully accused by his ex-wife in this novel of love, strife, and redemption.
“Would you be willing to destroy David to get the children back? An accusation can work wonders.”
“At this point I’d be willing to do or say anything. But what if he fights it and they realize the accusations aren’t true? Couldn’t I get into trouble?” “That’s the beauty of it. No one’s going to come back and investigate whether you lied. The court dockets are too full for that. What’ve you got to lose?”

No one’s going to come back and investigate whether you lied. The court dockets are too full for that. What’ve you got to lose?”
So begins the chain of events that turns a single dad’s idyllic home into an agony of solitude. Shattered by the accusation, David must fight shame and dejection to win his children back as his life crumbles around him.
Based in part on the author’s personal experiences, the novel reminds us that unselfish love between parent and child is a treasure worth fighting for.

Advance Reviews for A Noble Paradise–
A false allegation and a critically injured child destroy a single dad’s picture-perfect family in this novel by Crawford (Mariner Valley, 2012, etc.).
A genuine family drama that might inspire and encourage other single parents. The book succeeds through Crawford’s talent at characterization, dialogue and scene-setting. Crawford consistently and plausibly depicts mundane moments, such as a paper-mill workday … or the logistics and judgments of divorced parenting, without ever losing the reader. The story, which seems to have been inspired by real-life experiences, is never tedious or self-indulgent and may ring true for many readers. – Kirkus Reviews

My Review:
This is a really good book that proves words can hurt. Especially when so much is at stake. I really liked David and he was such a fighter. He had so much opposition and he never gave up. The love between parents and children builds such a strong bond. The author did a great jog of talking about that bond. There are also great family moments in this book, and some that are not so nice. That only made it seem more real. I am giving this book a 4/5. I was given a copy to review through Bostick and the author. however all opinions are my own.
