BLURB:
In
this beautiful and moving story of love, growth, and redemption among the
stunning red rocks of Sedona, Arizona, Sydney—a teenaged Army orphan—discovers
that love knows no bounds and life has many twists and turns of fate. After she
is forced to move in with her late mother’s sister Blanche and Blanche’s
abusive alcoholic husband Dean, Sidney finds purpose and friendship in Lexy,
the daughter of Max Heller the City’s most prominent widower and business
magnate. Unknowingly, the girls’ antics awaken Blanche’s lost and suppressed
passions and stirs Max’s long-thwarted drive to build a loving and complete
family. What emerges is the wonderfully successful Epicurian Café, the
brainchild of Blanche and Sydney actively encouraged by Max and Lexy. The Café
quickly becomes a center of the community, the start of a new life for Blanche
and Sydney, and a chance for Max and Lexy to discover true love and the meaning
of commitment. An emotional roller-coaster with its exciting twists and turns,
Wildflower is an exhilarating and satisfying read

Excerpt
An hour later
the rain stopped pounding on the library roof, as Sydney sat in the very back
stamping books. Today, she was stamping books from Sci-Fi to romance and
everything in-between. One minute, it
was a boring book of case law, and the next a haunting mystery. Even the non-fiction books could reveal
another world to the reader. That's why
Sydney loved stamping books--it exposed her to so many different subjects.
“Whoever
wrote this book is a quack,” Sydney commented out loud after she saw a book on
how to live a dream life written by a psychologist.
“Tell me
about it,” came a girl's voice from the other side of a tall desk. The suddenness of it scared Sydney.
“Who’s
there?” Sydney asked.
“Just a girl
who is bored out of her mind stamping books.
Tell me, whoever you are, how many books does this library need on
relationships, or how to get your dream woman?”
The voice asked Sydney.
“Don’t know,
but I'll bet they have about 200 books on the subject,” Sydney replied as she
heard someone move on the other side.
“I like
you. Tell me, do you have a name or do I
have to make one up for you?” said the voice.
“It’s
Sydney,” she said shyly. Just then, a girl appeared and leaned on the desk.

Guest Post:
Welcome, I’m Alexandra Forry author of Wildflower. Today
you’re in for a very special treat because I’m going to open up and tell you
five things that you never knew about me! Sit back with your drink and enjoy
this guest blog post.
1. I use to live in Portland Oregon- When I was
eight years old, my family moved from Las Vegas Nevada to Portland Oregon for
three years and what a wonderful time I had living there. The art and culture downtown Portland took my
breath away. I was lucky to be in a school that had took wonderful fieldtrip’s
to the symphony, plays, ballet, and such. I will never forget the grand time
living there, and that’s how I met one of my dear friends.
2. I loved Smallville as a teenager- Smallville
was a big part of my high school years, since I was homeschooled. Oh my, I use
to have a huge crush on Lionel Luthor and I always hoped that Lionel and Martha
Kent would wind up together at the end! The Show was really great and was
joyful to watch Clark Kent saves the day and seeing him become Superman, who we
all know and love.
3. I’m very close to
my grandma- I look up to my grandma, she always has my back when I need it the
most. She has a way about her that I look up to and adore. We have a really
rare bound between us. She really made me the woman that I am.
4. I was a Volunteer at a Library- when I was
young I used to be a Volunteer at a Library close to my home. There I did
almost anything that they needed to be done. Putting CD’s, Book’s, and Movie’s
away. Stamping books and such. I felt like a librarian. I had a great time
there, and made friends with all of the librarians. When I went there to give
them my new book. I felt so proud to show them my book which is sitting on a bookshelf
there right now, a dream come true for me.
5. I love listening to JOHNJAY & RICH a radio
show- I have to listen to a morning radio show called JOHNJAY & RICH. It
used to be on a radio stations in Las Vegas but now I listen to their
podcast’s. I love listening their relationship part when they find out if some
guy or in some cases girls are cheating on their partners and you’re listening,
hoping for the best! You can learn about all kinds of love and relationships on this show. I may apply it to my own writing.
