Bonded in Shadows By: Tigris Eden Guest Post & Giveaway

Bonded in Shadows
By: Tigris Eden

Blurb: When a family celebration threatens to turn into a disaster, there is only one person to blame- Asia Thompson, a member of the pack who also holds the title of Draven’s former first love.

After fighting almost impossible odds, Jes and Draven are finally together, but emotions are high strung now that Asia has shown up unannounced with the intention to take what she thinks she’s entitled to, including Draven.

Dealing with the protocol of Draven’s pack leaves a sour taste in Jes’ mouth. She’s battled every inner demon she has in order to be with her man. She wants their family to be first, not second which is easier said than done when she feels Draven is choosing his pack over family.

The pack has a way of digging their claws into their happily ever-after, pulling Draven further and further from his family’s needs. With Asia’s manipulative schemes combined with the conflict over their daughter’s birthday ritual, the couple’s bond is truly tested.

How to meet deadlines & remain sane

Things they forgot to tell me…….

Deadlines and sanity should never be mentioned in the same sentence, unless you’re super organized and can compartmentalize your life. Me on the other hand, I always freak out and screw it all up at the last minute, but the really crazy thing about that last statement is this: IT WORKS FOR ME… I work well under pressure, and I shouldn’t really boast about that because I totally stress out in every way. I stress eat, I stress obsess and then of course I get down to doing the business.
I knew that was not healthy, and over the course of the last two years I devised a plan that works well with my kind of life. So here is how I meet my deadlines and remain sane…

1.    Mark everything down in planner or calendar of some sort. (I prefer to do both) I use my outlook calendar and or tasks, and I buy a daily/monthly planner and chart out just what I need to get done. I also estimate the amount of time I think it should take me to reach my goal.
2.    Be true to yourself. If you know you’re not going to make the original deadline, adjust and allow for more time. (Now for the traditionally pubbed writers, I don’t know if this works or not, but for Indie pub it could work.) It works for me.
3.    Don’t ignore your life, but embrace it and try to get other’s involved and let them know you’re serious about your writing. Just like when you work a day job you have a set schedule and time to report to work. Do the same for your writing, report to work on time and ready to get down to it. (If you have to call in sick, or have a doctor’s appointment, well then take some time off, you’re the boss)
4.    Remember life happens, there’s nothing you can do to stop it.. (If you somehow know how to do this, please contact me immediately! I need to learn that trick… ASAP!)
5.    Finally, take breaks. Don’t run yourself into the ground. You’ll get there, be positive and remember you can do anything you set your mind to!

About the Author:
There is really not much to say... I love to write, read, and listen to music. My attempt at a music career sadly ended at the Apollo one warm night in May. LOL (Side note: I was not booed just outdone by two munchkins rapping to Biggy Smalls, they were good.

Military brat extraordinaire; have traveled to a lot of interesting places.  This February I will be going over to the other side of the pond where I will spend two weeks in Europe.  I will be in Cambridge, London, Paris, Versailles, Bruges, and hopefully Cardiff.

The very first time I put pen to paper in story fashion (for fun), was in 6th grade.  The story was called, The Case of The Missing Pepperoni. It was a cute mystery where all the ingredients and shop appliances came to life when the store owner closed up for the evening.  See, pretty boring stuff. I always say I'm not the interesting one, but the people around me.
