I reside in Sunny Southern California. I recently self published my first novel, Cutting Deep. I wrote this during a quarter life crisis, and never dreamed it would ever be finished or actually published. I would say I have the worst sense of humor out of anyone I know, except my friends. I find things funny that others may find not so funny, but I cant help myself. I try to find the humor in everything in life. I'm addicted to tattoo's and I'm not sure I know one person in my massive family that does not have a tattoo. Crazy Right? My Review:
I have heard they saying about deep wounds that are not always physical. That is what I thought of when I read this book. The past is not left in the past and it threatens the future and the happiness of Ande and Daniel. I liked the references to college and to culinary school. For someone who has never gone it flowed easily through the book and did not over power the main plot. I liked Ande and Daniel and I felt that their skeletons in the closet were going to cost them true love. The sexual attraction was obvious and I really hoped that these two characters ended up together. There was plenty to wonder about and the author answers a lot of questions at the end. She even throws in a pretty good twist. However this is the first novel in a series, and I felt as though I didn't get enough closure. The characters definitely have a lot waiting for them in the next book. I am giving this book a 4/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
