Blurb:
THE
LETTER is the story of a betrayal that wasn’t. Even so, it still tore apart two
lovers for eleven years.
On the
eve of their wedding, Michael Jeffres, Earl of Daventry, found his betrothed—
the woman who meant as much to him as the air he breathed—in bed with his
cousin, Leo. Diana remembers nothing of that night. All she knows is that she
was forced to marry Leo and then spent the next eleven years in hell.
When the
two lovers are brought back together by a letter from Leo a year after his
death, Michael and Diana must struggle through all the lies and secrets before
they can find a love that far surpasses the one of their youth.
Author Bio:
Sandra
lives in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Most days, you
can find her with her fingers on a keyboard, her mind in the world of her
imagination. It's a land where romance and happy endings exist, a land where
anything is possible.
When her
husband can drag her away from her computer, she likes to travel with her very
own hero in their RV, but she always brings her laptop. There are still stories
to write, after all.
A few
highlights of Sandra's life she fondly recalls are jumping out of a plane,
flying upside down in a stunt plane, and riding her Harley in the mountains of
Southern California and along the coast of Maine. She's managed a private
airport and held the position of General Manager of a Harley-Davidson
dealership.
Although
those events in her life were great fun, nothing compares to the joy and
satisfaction she gets from writing her stories.

1. Have you ever gotten or given a love letter?
Both. My favorite is one my husband
wrote early in our marriage. I still have it these many years later. I got it
out to read again as I write this. Out of the four pages, this is the part I
love best:
In the beginning, I felt very close to you,
but now I can’t tell where I stop and you begin. We are truly an extension of
each other and that’s beautiful.
Reading his words still makes me all
warm and fuzzy inside.
2. What is your favorite love letter of all time?
I absolutely adore the one Johnny Cash wrote
to his wife June. The last line makes me break out in a smile.
Hey June,
That’s really nice June. You’ve got a
way with words and a way with me as well.
The fire and excitement may be gone now
that we don’t go out there and sing them anymore, but the ring of fire still
burns around you and I, keeping our love hotter than a pepper sprout.
Love John
3. Was it hard to write about a letter within a book?
The letter the book is based on is actually
not a love letter, but a letter from an evil man whose vile scheme tore apart
two lovers for eleven years. The letter is delivered after his death to my
hero, turning his life upside down. I
woke up one morning with the entire letter in my head so I can’t claim
beginning the book was hard. In an effort to win back the woman he lost, the
hero, Michael, uses humor in his love letters to her at the end of the book.
4. Will there be a sequel?
THE LETTER is a
single title, but the characters from all three of my Regencies,
including THE TRAINING OF A MARQUESS and KATIE, LOVE (working title) make appearances in each other’s books.
5. What would you like your readers to know?
That I love hearing from them. KATIE, LOVE is actually my first Regency, one
I’d put aside. After receiving emails asking for the Duke of Aubrey’s story,
I’ve pulled it out and am now revising it to submit to my publisher. It’s because of those requests that I’m back
working on a story I thought only friends and family would ever read. Letters
(emails) from readers who write to tell me how much they enjoyed one of my
books are the second best kind love letters (the first being from your very own
hero).
Thank you so much for sharing this time
with me. I’ve enjoyed it immensely.
