My Review:
This book reminded me of how young hearts can so easily be broken. Olive thought she had everything, but she only had what she thought she wanted. It took a near death experience for her to realize what love truly is.
Her mother got me mad, and I wanted to tell her to just let Olive be a teenager. You only get one chance to be a kid. Maybe if Olive's mother wasn't so "Stepford" then Olive would have had better self worth.
I liked that Olive had a different life with Nick and it showed me a side her I liked. I am also a fan of music and that is what drew them together. I even got the song stuck in my head. The mystery of the accident was weird for me, because I have been in car accidents and they happen so fast.
I liked the ending, and I would read a sequel with Olive dancing to her song on her 75th wedding anniversary!
I am giving this book a 3/5 because I don't think that I will need to read it again, and I wanted the love triangle to be a little bit more involved. I didn't like Derek from early on, and for me that ended the triangle. However the book made me question myself and I liked the ending. I also thought that the author did a great job in developing Olive's character. Olive was a different person by the end of the book.
I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
