Summary from Goodreads:
In a future United States under the power of a charismatic leader, everyone gets the Mark at age thirteen. The Mark allows citizen to shop, go to school, and even get medical care--without it, you are on your own. Few refuse to get the Mark. Those who do . . . disappear. Logan Langly went in to get his Mark, but he backed out at the last minute. Ever since, he's been on the run from government agents and on a quest to find his sister Lily, who disappeared when she went to get her Mark five years earlier. His journey leads him to befriend the Dust, a vast network of Markless individuals who dissent against the iron-grip rule of the government. Along the way to the capital to find Lily, the Dust receive some startling information from the Markless community, opening their eyes to the message of Christianity and warning that humanity is now entering the End of Days. In "Storm," Logan and his friends are the leaders of the Markless revolution. But while some Markless are fighting Chancellor Cylis' army, the Dust is busy trying to find a cure for a horrible epidemic sweeping through the Marked. And it's difficult for them to know who to trust, especially when they aren't sure if Logan's sister Lily, one of the commanders in Cylis' army, is on their side or not. And all across the nation--and the world--the weather is become less stable, and a storm is brewing that bigger than any of them could have ever imagined.... http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17034859-storm Buy Links: Amazon│Barnes & Noble

My Review:
It must be hard to live as a member of "The Dust". This is a group of kids that have not gotten marked. Especially if the rest of your family is marked and you don't get to see them. If you are not marked the government tries to infect you with a disease as a way to control the unmarked population. A member of Dust is infected, even though she is marked, and it will cost the other members everything to get the cure. They will be fighting for their lives in more ways than one.
The Apocalypse is coming anyway, and I wondered how long the series could stretch out. However the author does a great job of creating obstacles that leaves the reader completely engrossed in each book. There is so much going on and the action is worth the read. However I take away stars for cliffhangers because I can not rate the ending if their isn't one. I didn't like this ending at all, and thought it was different. However, the rest of the book was great and I loved to learn more about the characters, especially Lily. It was about time that we found out more about her.
I love when books have hidden "images". I really enjoyed that while members of the Dust were in the library reading an earlier book in the series. I Totally was engrossed in this part of the book as they read about themselves, and it made me wonder if anything else is hidden in the books.
This is a Christian book that is set in the future, and I wondered what Christians will be like in the future.
I am giving this book a 4/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
My Review:
This is the second book in the series and I want to say my favorite. Logan escapes the "marksman" and finds out where Lily is. He finds Lily, however the meeting did not go as planned. This book was an account of Evan's experience's with Dome and the Dust. I thought that it was awesome that the author wrote his information as though he was a character in the book. He is so creative. I also really enjoyed Hailey's character development, I did not expect what happens. This book has a lot of action and it introduces the disease and explains how it spreads, and where it came from. I enjoyed this book and even though it had a cliffhanger I am giving this book a 5/5. I also like the cover. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
This is the book that started it all! This book explains the mark and how it came to be. I liked the background on Logan's family. He was just a normal kid, and I could definitely relate to that. I liked reading about a normal family in a weird society. I liked the idea of the mark and was very interested to see how it was going to turn out. I was shocked at the ending by Erin and I was so made at her. I read book 2 immediately after this book and they flowed together nicely. I can not wait until the next book. The book ends with Logan on the run, by himself. I really like Logan's character. He grows in each book, and he becomes a man, even without the mark. I am giving this book a 5/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
