1. Is this book part of a series? Will it be?
Yes! I am working on the sequel now and it should be out in a matter of months. After that I will probably move on to a different series, but there's no reason I could not return to the world of Ghoul again in the future. People interested in the progress of the sequel can find updates at ralphmcgeary.tumblr.com.
2. Who would play the main characters in a movie?
Wow, I've never given that much thought. I might have suggested Bob Hoskins for Alois, but he's a bit too old now. Maybe Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter) for Rodolphus, though he's perhaps a bit young. Someone suggested to me that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson could play Dean Baldermann, and if you put a beard on him... yeah, I could see that. Lina is pretty young, so an unknown actress might be best for her.
3. Why Ghoul and not ghost? is there a difference?
Very much so! Both terms are vague and mean pretty much whatever an author wants them to mean, but a ghost is always an ethereal entity; the kind of thing that can go through walls. In Ghoul, a ghoul is something more akin to an intelligent zombie. They're dead, but they still have physical bodies.
4. What would you like my readers to know?
I had great fun writing this book, and if they like fantasy, especially in a medieval or Victorian setting, it is my hope that they'll give Ghoul a try!

Across the continent, a band of sword-slinging mercenaries cut a bloody swathe though the countryside, seeking their fortune at their own peril...

My Review:
This was definitely a different book. I was drawn in throughout the book by all the different sub plots. I had no idea how they were going to tie in together. However at the end of the book everything came together like a well woven afghan. There was religion interwoven in the story as well. I really got lost in this book, and I can not wait for the author's next book!
