New Adult Paranormal Romance
Date to be Published: 4/5/2013
Synopsis:
When Life Falls to Pieces, Answers Lie in the Space Between
After a month-long dance tour through Italy, 20-year-old Leni Drago returns to
Georgia to care for her great-uncle, only to find him gone, the home they shared
empty and any evidence he ever existed wiped out. All that’s left is a journal she
can’t open.
Jeric Winters has been searching for a piece of his past for over a year, only to
reach a dead-end in Georgia. When an urgent and magnetic pull draws him out
of his hotel room, he comes face-to-face with the beautiful dancer who’s been
haunting his dreams day and night.
Jeric’s one to stay away from—a bad-boy, hit-it-and-quit-it type—but Leni can’t
escape the fervent feelings between them. As their own existences begin to
crumble around them and shadowy forms that are more monsters than men
attack, they realize there’s more to the connection between them than physical
fascination.
To solve the riddle their lives have become, they must embark on a journey that
requires them to face their pasts and release their true souls. And they must
do it fast—dark ones from another world are closing in, intent on killing them.

My Review:
I have never read anything from this author before, but I definitely will in the future. There were so many things going on in this book that I want to mention. How cool is it to find a journal? Especially one you can not open. What happened to Leni's great-uncle? The important question is why, not how, was he wiped out of existence? Leni should have stayed in Italy. I thought about her great-uncle a lot. Where was he? Was he even alive still? How is Leni going to open the journal and find out about him? If the journal is about him. As I was reading through the book I almost forgot about the journal. there was so much other good stuff going on.
Leni met Jeric. After that waiting is all they other can do not to find each other again. There was more than an attraction, it was a pull. Just when I was ready to give up on Jeric, they meet again. How could Leni not want this sexy man. Jeric can not stop thinking of Leni either. As the book went on it was obvious that this was not just love. There was a cosmic reason they met. It was even more than fate. Their love gave new meaning to soul mate. The way the author wrote the paranormal aspects of this book made me believe!
These are not normal characters in a book. The author wrote them so animated that at times I felt like I was inside the book with them. I definitely really liked this book. The ending was good too. I am giving this book a 5/5! I can not wait to get the sequel! I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own!!!
Also what a cool cover!
Interview with the author:
- What does the mark look like? a tattoo? a scar? how did appear like a flame? did it look like fire?
The mark looks like a tattoo
of a flame. Anyone would think it's a regular tattoo when they saw it.
2. Why Italy? and why Georgia?
DO they have a special meaning to you?
I knew Leni was part Italian
with a last name of Drago, so it would only make sense her uncle would be
Italian and know people in Italy. As for Georgia, the drive they have to make to
their destination in Florida needed to be a long day's drive, perhaps a little
too much to do in one day. So northern Georgia seemed right.
3. Tell me something about the
journal.
The journal is all that might
be left of Leni's great-uncle, although she's never seen it before. When she and
Jeric begin to read it, they see similarities to their own situation, making
them hope that they'll find answers in it about the strange events happening in
their lives. But the question is whether the journal offers real answers or
brings them to a dead-end.
4. Who would play the main
characters in a movie?
Good question! I don't like to
cast my characters because everyone has their own image in their head. I prefer
readers to come up with their casts. So who would YOU cast?
5. What would you like my
readers to know?
So many reviews coming in for
The Space Between say something along the lines of "mind blown." It really is
different than other paranormal romances - with an unexpected twist on the
paranormal part. I hope you'll check it out and after you've read it, let me
know what you think. *smile*
Ok so I love that you also love this book and have an interview. Ok one suggestion your request to review your site on the Alexa site should include that one has to sign up and maybe a link so that it is easily found. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great review! I'm so glad you enjoyed The Space Between. :) Thank you, too, for the interview and for being a stop along the tour. Good luck to everyone!
