The Guilty Innocent is the second novel in the edgy, action-packed,

sexually-charged, Knights of the Darkness Chronicles.

In this installment, Darian, the gorgeous, charismatic and charming

master vampire of Chicago is framed for a crime he didn't commit, but

why? His lover, Xavier, Natasha and a few others must travel halfway

across the world to find out who and why before time runs out and all

h*** breaks loose

The knights of the Darkness Chronicles:
Enter the world of the Knights of the Darkness

Chronicles, where supernatural beings and humans live
together openly in a tenuous society. Danger lurks
behind every corner as they release their darkest and
deadliest desires. In an attempt to keep order, the
government has created laws that govern the
supernaturals and a special  police force; the S.U.I.T.
(Supernatural Unit Investigation Team), are trained to
keep the dangerous supernatural threat in check. But
not everyone can be contained or controlled.
Criminals come in all species and even the highly trained
S.U.I.T. Organization needs help. It is apparent that if the
world is to maintain its fragile peace, certain alliances
must be formed, even if it's between enemies.
My Review:
Wow. I really liked this book. Before I go any further it is an adult book. It contains sex and adult situations. I really need to read the rest of this series. I am hooked. Or bitten I guess because the main male character is a vampire. A sexy vampire at that. The main female character is a female named Natasha. She is human, but has a special ability as well. She has been invited into Darian's world of Vampires, but she has to accept his male partner Xavier, as well. Natasha shares her apartment with Annette, a daring sexy female. Darian and Xavier own a "night" club that Annette works at. When someone is murdered, Darian gets framed. He is the Master Vampire of Chicago. It is up to Xavier and Natasha to find the truth and bring the real killers to justice.
Little did I know that this book would also have Leopards, wolves, coyotes and lions. I really enjoyed the way that D.N. interwove all of these paranormals into today's society. There was so much in this book, including a trial, a trip, a showdown between paranormals, and vampires. I was surprised at the end by who the killer actually was, and why the person had to die. I also love the love triangles that were in the book. I loved how they turned out and I loved the way the characters were loyal to each other. There was comedy, and action, not to mention death.
This was a longer read for me, because I got involved in the book, started thinking and then went back to reading. I definitely give this book a 5/5 and wish that I could give it more. This is a keeper, and will be going  on my special editions book case! I can not wait  NEED to read the rest of this series, and find out what happens to Warren!
I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
About D.N.
I was born in the little, but big bustling city of Chicago, Illinois. I still live there today, and loving every second of it ... Except for those harsh cold winters. I started writing short horror stories when I was eleven years old. It wasn't until 2004 that I decided to take the plunge into the professional literary world when I wrote Desires Unleashed.
I love the supernatural world, I've always found it fascinating, especially vampires and shape-shifters. It was my love of the genre that motivated me to create the story I had always wanted to read. I published it, hoping there were other people out there who would be entertained by that same story. I love to entertain people, to offer them that fantasy world they can escape into filled with wonders and good times. I know I appreciate the escapism I've delved into when reading a good book.
