Description:
Here is a story and activity book containing a complete retelling of the Easter story presented in a simple manner for young children to grasp. The stickers are used first to complete the illustrations in the main story. Then there are extra activities on each page alongside the story--counting, naming, identifying--with stickers for each. All of the stickers are found in the center of the book where they are grouped and numbered according to activity to make it easy for young children to find the right sticker.A fun and interactive way for children to learn the Easter story.

My Godchild and I did this together. She really liked it. When she got to this page though, she got a little upset. I asked her why, and she said.."the mean men nailed him to wood. Why did they do that"
I realized that this was going to be a teachable moment and I told her about how they were bad people. But Jesus was not mad, because he died for us, so God would forgive us when we were bad. I then explained to her the difference between being bad (sins) and making mistakes. I also told her that Jesus is still alive in Heaven like Poppi. We put the book away for a week and took it back out again. She went right to this page and said "he is still nailed up there". Thankfully Easter is here and when we go to church they will help me explain it to her better.
I loved the pictures, and the stickers were easy to place. She had a ball being involved with the book as we read it. There is also a recap at the end that helps to reinforce the story. This book was perfect for a 6 year old, and we are going to take it out every Easter and read it! I give this book a 5/5 ! I recommend it for anybody the celebrates Easter, or for Home Schoolers that want to teach about other religions!
I got a copy from Kregel to review however all opinions are my own.
