Day 7~ Where where you when the Twin Towers fell...
I was just graduated from High School, and I had just woke up to get ready for work. My mom always made sure I was up on time... (I am NOT a morning person!) and she was up watching the news. I had just walked into the room when they cut into the TV with the news of the first plane. I watched in shock with my pj's still on thinking that my mom MUST be watching a movie... This can't be real. After the buildings fell, I called my boss, and she told me to stay home. I watched all day and people lost their lives. I still think about it, and pray to those who lost loved ones. Freedom is not free.
I remember my dad was blind and we had to tell him what was happening on the tv, it made it so much more real.
When I was little my dad used to tell me about where he was was Lennon died, or when JFK died.... I guess this is the traumatic experience that I will have to pass on to younger generations. God Bless all victims and there families. God Bless to all the volunteers and fire fighters and police that helped.
You're right, freedom isn't free, and it comes with a lot of responsibility. We will never forget.
