When someone buys the old Honeycutt house, Nora Bonesteel is glad to see some life brought back to the old mansion, even if it is by summer people. But when they decide to stay through Christmas, they find more than old memories in the walls. My Review:
This is the first book by this author that I have read. Even though it is not necessary to enjoy this book, I would love to read her other books. Especially the ones with the same characters. To read their history and why they have their certain idiosyncrasies would be fun. The idea of an old mansion hiding secrets is not new, however the way the author involved the police and the neighbors was. I also enjoyed the idea of the house getting "new" life in it, and then only for summer. The guests do not realize that their new home is more then just a home! Christmas is a special time and to have to spend it away from home is never fun. Their are always spirits at work, and maybe they are all together at Christmas for a reason. Maybe they need to make the past right before they can enjoy the present? I liked the end, and i can not wait to read more from this author. I am giving this book a 4/5.
