Heartbreaker Blog Hop!
Are our heroes heartthrobs or
heartbreakers? Or are they just the same thing? Yummy right? Valentine's Day is
just around the corner for this blog hop and we're gearing up to see what
exactly is a heartbreaker. Is the song playing in your head line mine? "Cuz he's
a heartbreaker!" We love those sexy men, but what about those times in the story
when they aren't perfect. Because come on, we know they aren't perfect. What
makes those men heartbreakers? What can those guys do to make it better? Is
there a way to grovel? Come on! Tell me about your heartbreaker!!
I really have not had a man break my heart, but a lot of books have. either they were really sad, they reminded me of my own life, or I read 250 pages, just to not like the ending. I will be giving away one of these books. Don't forget to enter the other hops and good luck! My mom is also listed as 3 Partners in Shopping!

Well, I am not the reader but my daughter has and these are the types of books she loves. Not sure which one but she says she tends to love the books that make her cry. So, from that message just today, I'd say she has read some like that

Thanks for the giveaway and participating in the hop!
ReplyDeleteI think that Christian Grey from "50 Shades of Grey" is a good example of a heartbreaker. He used and abused Ana at first, but then came to his senses by book two. He made me very upset.

I read to escape from the real world, so I avoid books with bad/sad endings. I remember Hubby walking through the room with me crying because of something bad happening in a book, but usually everything works out in the end. I know there was one last year where one of the main characters surprisingly died (thus hubby found me crying), but I can't think of the book- I very well may be blocking it, lol.
ReplyDeleteOne that is very good (well written) and I have even read a couple of time, but it is dark and leaves me worn out and sad is Doomsday Book by Connie Willis. Enough sad/bad things happen that the first time I read it, it very well may have "broke my heart." Yet, it is good enough that I still have a copy while I get rid of all the other 'bad' stories.
Thanks for the giveaway!

For me the heartbreaker is a bad boy who goes kicking and screaming into love! When he falls he falls hard!
ReplyDeleteThe only heartbreakers I have encountered are literary! And my all time fav is Mr Darcy! Although, I am currently crushing on Zadist from the Black Dagger Brotherhood!
Books break my heart all the time! I am still devastated over the Hunger Games Trilogy more than a year after reading it!

Most of the books I read have at least a somewhat of a HEA.
ReplyDeleteSo, even if they break my heart and/or make me cry along the way they're usually redeemed in the end. Thanks for being part of this awesome hop!

Oh yes one of the Vampire Academy novels just broke my heart. I can't say why or which one because I don't want to ruin it for anyone but I cried for weeks!

so many books have broken my heart over the years. Pretty much every series I have ever read that comes to an end is heartbreaking for me. When you live in the lives of the characters for so many chapters and hours are lost in the book world it makes it hard to have it end. Thanks for the fun stop on the blog hop. sbereza22(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites is Justice from Justice by Laurann Dohner. Thank you for the awesome hop and giveaway!!! :)

Yes, a book has. The second book in the Outback Stars trilogy had me crying like a baby and sad until book 3 arrived. Bk 3, of course, fixed it all.
