BLURB:

BCL is a Contemporary New Adult Romance that tells Kassandra's story.

Kassie is a single, independent woman that finds herself questioning her lifestyle after all of her best friend get married and settle down.

Even if she’s the only unmarried girl in the pack she isn’t single anymore. Now that all her friends are married and all the wedding planning is over, she has a chance to concentrate in her relationship with Josh. Or so she thought, since her friends keep visiting her with a major life changing crisis.

Helping her friends plan their wedding was no problem─dealing with unexpected personal situations is a whole other thing.

You can read how she helps Laura and Marisol to plan their weddings.

Excerpt One:

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. I’d heard that saying more than once now. And I was about to hear it once again.

“Kassie! Kassie, wake up! I’m getting married,” a high-pitched voice squealed at me at 3:00 a.m.

Who the hell is this? I had picked up the phone without even looking at the caller ID. Oh, Laura. Great.

“Kassandra, are you listening? I’m engaged!” Laura screamed from the other side of the phone.

“Yeah, wow,” I said. “Congratulations.”

“I can’t believe you, Kassie. You should be more excited. You’ll get to be my bridesmaid!” The volume of her voice kept rising.

“I’m happy for you, Laura.” I really didn’t know at the moment how I felt. I was trying to look around to see exactly where I was. “Believe me. It’s just…it’s three o’clock, and I was sleeping.”

After looking at my surroundings, I remembered I was in my own house. I had a minor headache, probably from all the drinking the night before, and my body ached a bit. I looked beside me and found the reason for my hurt.

Next to me I found the silhouette of a beautiful man. The memories of the few hours before my abrupt awakening came back at me:

A bar. A blond. My home. Some sex...in that order.

“I know it’s late, but I had to give you the good news.”

“And news it is.” She was the last of my best friends who was single; not so long ago we roamed all the bars in town together, looking for men to hook up with, and suddenly she was engaged.

Natalie’s Wedding is finally published!!!
Natalie is the third bride (book) of The Bridesmaid’s Checklist series. She’s such a sweet and caring girl, and Kassandra (the main character) had a great time planning her wedding. This is the best book I’ve ever written, it has so many emotions around the wedding (that happened in the past) and all the different situations going on in the present. Natalie is one of my favorite characters and I wanted her to have a great book, but this doesn’t mean that it’s all hearts and flowers.

When and why did you begin writing?
I began writing twelve years ago. When I was younger, I enjoyed writing about my friends and me, in short stories and comic books. Now, I feel that there’s so much I want to share with the world, and writing is an excellent outlet to do so.

I enjoy writing because I feel inspired by the writers and books that I love. I aspire to be like them some day, and I’ll keep practicing, writing and publishing until I feel that I have shared everything I have to say.

When did you first consider yourself a writer?
When Laura’s Wedding, the first book in The Bridesmaid’s Checklist series, was published. It’s a difficult feeling to express, I felt so happy and accomplished. But even now and then I feel shy about people talking about me as a writer. I was invited to FESTIBA this year, it’s a festival that celebrates the arts in Edinburg, Texas, and even thought I was there to talk about my books and be recognized as a writer, I felt like a kid in  a candy store and wanted to go visit all the writers, authors, painters, jewelers and participants in the event. I guess I’m still getting used to be recognized as a writer.

What inspired you to write your first book?
A dream that I had. Most ideas I have for books and stories come to me in the form of dreams. Then I start picturing them in my head as if I was looking at a movie, later I start looking for all the “whys”... slowly all the pieces of the puzzle start making sense to me. Brainstorming on a notebook and organizing my thoughts is also part of the process.

The first book I’ve wrote was inspired in a kiss between two strangers. Karen was being bothered by a couple of guys in a bar, she didn’t know what to do with them and how to get a way. When a beautiful stranger approached her, and when she feared for the worst, he pretended to be her boyfriend so the the other guys would leave her alone. Even if their attraction was palpable he isn’t open an honest to her, and when she learns the reason why, she’s surprise to find herself living one of her fantasies.

what would you like my readers to know?
I’m just getting started.

I’m a new writer with so many things to say, so many ideas to explore through the written form. I would appreciate if you give me a chance, read my books and tell me what you think about them. I appreciate all feedback, it’s a way I can grow not only as an author but as a person.  Reach out, tell me what you’d like to read and help me become the best writer I can be.
