About Dormaine G.

Dormaine was born in Long Island, New York where she lived most of her life. As an adult she liked to travel out of the country though her favorite places to explore were her fantasy worlds as an author. She may be a nurse by profession but her heart has always belonged to writing. As a young child she spent many Saturdays in the library nurturing her love for books. There she discovered her fascination for the science fiction genre, through books, movies and graphic novels.
Now she resides in Colorado with her husband and two feisty dogs. After many years of working in hospitals and travel nursing she took time off to pursue a career in writing. Her first novel “Connor” is in one of her favorite genres, young adult urban fantasy. Her second love is for horror of which she created the “Madame Lilly, Voodoo Priestess” series. This is just the start of her exploration as she stays locked up her office in Colorado spinning more tales.

While all of Caroline Forbes’s friends have moved on with their lives, she has remained frozen in her seventeen-year old body. No longer free to roam around Mystic Falls because of her unchanging looks, she starts to feel bound by her thoughts and emotions.
All through the years, she tried not to think of Stefan Salvatore and the future she could have had with him. A chance confrontation with a gang of teens in the cemetery changes that.
A boy with Stefan’s face emerges from the shadows. Caroline knows it is not really him but can’t stop her heart from feeling every emotion he brought out within her. To make matters worse, he brought an old foe with him.
Will Caroline finally get her happily ever after or will fate snatch it away yet again?
Read the story that takes place twenty years after the events of the hit TV series finale of The Vampire Diaries.

Hell hath no fury like a shadow from the underworld.

Caroline Forbes prides herself on being the quirky vampire always prepared with a plan. Now that she’s running the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted, she’s starting to think she might be in over her head. Still grieving the loss of her husband Stefan, Caroline is slowly slipping into the darkness hidden behind her radiant smile. Against her better judgement, she seeks comfort in all the wrong places, in all the wrong people—one in particular.

Niklaus Mikaelson, the original vampire-werewolf hybrid and notorious bad boy doesn’t hesitate to answer Caroline’s cry for help. Old feelings are stirred and the temptation is impossible to ignore. Klaus and Caroline give in, losing themselves in a heated romance that could burn a thousand forests.

Enraptured by their world of passion, they ignore everyone around them. The neglect leads Caroline’s twin girls to do the unthinkable—they perform a spell, unleashing the shadows from the underworld. These shadows are malevolent, angry, and seeking revenge, leaving the townspeople in grave danger.
Can Caroline and Klaus fall back down to reality in time to save Mystic Falls from the shadows? Or will their whirlwind romance cost them everything?

When the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted received an urgent message from Siberia, I jumped at the chance to go check it out. Sure I was going to miss my twin daughters with every fiber of my being but I was dying, no pun intended, to get out of Mystic Falls. Even if it was only for a surveillance mission. A romantic interlude was the last thing on my mind when I said goodbye to my family but that’s exactly what I found.
Had I known Klaus Mikaelson was going to be in Russia, I never would have offered to go investigate the string of mysterious deaths. But leave it to me, Caroline Forbes, to find the silver lining.  Maybe having an Original vampire on my side could help me solve the mystery and return home that much faster. The only thing standing in my way is my attraction to a man I should never have been attracted to in the first place.

About DJ Shaw

Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1977, DJ Shaw was 17 before she was able to see most of the United States. When she was 17, she decided to join the fair, traveling with them to Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Once the fair arrived in Lake Charles, DJ had decided it was time to go home, that she had had enough of traveling with the fair. She much rather preferred to sit around writing, or even telling, the lives of the people who lived in her head. She had been good at story-telling from the time she was about ten, when she scared herself so bad with her story of the Boogey-man that she couldn’t move off her bed. Her siblings would come to her for their scare fix, because they knew she could come up with something on the spot.
Having found what she loved to do at an early age, she continued to write down her stories and any poetry that came into her head. She had stacks upon stacks of notebooks filled with her work. Her love of horror movies made her stories that much more chilling.
When she’s not writing, she’s listening to music, supporting her favorite adopted brother and his band “Traveler in Pain”, playing with her five children, spending time with her husband of seven years or watching horror movies in the middle of the night just for the scare factor.
