Father Of Mine Writing Prompt Hop #BehindTheBlogger

This was the hardest prompt for me to write so far, Not because I didn't know what to say, but rather because I had too much to say. I was very close to my father, and I saw him almost everyday. I was with him when he died, and I will never forget it. This picture is him and I on my wedding day. Dancing to Butterfly Kisses. To the right is my husband. My father had a stroke when I was in high school and became legally blind. I was the last child, out of four, living at home.  My husband went to school with me, where my father worked, and I often thought that I was lucky that he knew what my hubby looked like and who he was. Father Of Mine always had my back. From when I had to make a school diorama of Noah's Ark, winning a model building contest (the only girl and I beat the boys), running for office to house repairs. I remember him in things that I do every day, all day, and I wish he was still here. The day he died a part of me was lost. I will never be the same. Only memories are there now.  I want to see my father again, to talk to him, to hear his voice, just to ask him how to fix something.

Thank you for reading a story from #BehindTheBlogger Hop. Every 2 weeks a group of bloggers is given a writing prompt. These prompts are very open ended, so our bloggers can write about whatever they desire. The main rule is that their blog post directly relates to the topic of that week. The point of this hop is for our readers to get to know us on a personal level.  Please hop along and read all of the blog posts in this weeks hop. Just click the links below. If you want real and raw emotion, then you will find it here. After you read each post, please comment and share. We want to get to know you too!
