Molly Ivers has always known she’d marry a foreign man with a delicious accent. Six months ago, in a night of unbridled passion, she gave her virginity to her friend and sexy-as-can-be neighbor, rocker Evan Castle. Unfortunately, thanks to his swarm of constant groupies, things didn’t work out, but they remained friends. Now, after having just broken up with her boring, run-of-the-mill right-wing boyfriend, she’s on the verge of finishing her graduate degree and moving to Paris. She's desperate to shake things up--and find that sexy foreign man.

She’s had a crush on Nicholas Sullivan, her British professor, for as long as she can remember. So when opportunity comes knocking to spice up her appearance, in the form of a French life coach, she hires Jean Luc Dubois to help her lbecome more Parisian and hip, to reflect the person she is within. Thanks to Jean Luc’s magic, she starts to catch her hunky English prof’s eye, but the more time she spends with Evan, the more she begins to realize that her Prince Charming might just be the one she’s known all along.

Guest Blog Post #18- Authors That Have Inspired Me
Hello, my name is Roxanne D. Howard, and I write contemporary erotic romance. Thank you for having me on your blog! Today I’d like to discuss authors that have inspired me, both well-known authors and newer ones.
When I was a teenager, I picked up Jean M. Auel’s The Earth’s Children series and read about Ayla’s journey during the Neolithic period. Auel’s narrative was simply breathtaking. She has a way of pulling you in with vivid visual descriptions and intense scenes (both emotional and love scenes); what would have been considered a rather dull storyline was in fact riveting. I loved how she integrated the love scenes with the story without making it too heavy; it was organically sifted in, and it worked so well.
Another author I love is Dean Koontz. He starts a book off normal, and then the ending is always a surprise twist of some sort, and the book never goes where you think it’s going to go. His imagery is on another level; I love when he describes scenery and what things look like. He’s poetic without being too overdone, and there is always a message beneath his work, which I believe is a strong element in writing; it should be about something.
Some newer authors have inspired me for different reasons. Erica Lynn, a new author with Loose Id, wrote a three-part series called the Love and Justice Novellas, which interweave the lives of three best friends and their separate love/suspense stories. The neat thing about meeting fellow authors is how much I respect them; many of us are young moms, have jobs and extracurricular appointments to get the kids to. I admire the heck out of Erica because she’s a very gifted author while also being there for her family.
Another author I really like is Shannon Nydia, who wrote the new paranormal romance, His Wolf’s Desire. I hadn’t ever read a paranormal romance until I picked it up, but it was great, and had a nice sprinkling of comedy throughout it while having a great enemies-to-lovers dynamic between two wolf shifters. Shannon is another author and mom who balances life with writing, and I find myself inspired because I’m in the same boat; it’s so encouraging to know that anything is possible with a commitment to your dream and a good attitude.
What authors inspire you?
