Then a witch-like woman tells him the two of them have to go into the spooky woods to save his brother. But from what? The strange trees only whisper the answer and he must discover what they are trying to tell him. But he will learn much more than he ever dreamed.

My Review:
This is a great story for young readers. It has a great sense of nature and a great feeling of listening to your heart. I love that the author combined fantasy with folklore to create this perfect length story. The author also based his forest on the description that an older Irishman had told him. I also liked the pictures in the book. Most were taken by the author. There are also cars and cell phones in the story. There is enough technology to keep today's kids interested. I liked the ending with the broom, and I can not wait to read more about the whispers. I am giving this book a 4/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
Thank you for taking part in the Whispers of Trees review tour. I enjoyed your review. I like that it is a modern day folktale as well. Perfect to get kids reading, plus the whispering trees add to the entertainment!
