My review:
Emily liked to act like a tomboy when she was younger. When she was thirteen she became friends with a boy who gave her the first kiss she ever had and then left, at the end of the summer. After he was gone there were many rumors going around about it and Emily was overcome.
Emily was happy on her own for acceptance by the people where she lived that she was an upstanding woman. Just when she least expects it Jake comes back into town, and he happens to be a US deputy marshal. Despite her not wanting to be friends again it seems as if it was not to be. She has to make decisions that will change her life forever. I give this book a 4/5. I was given this book for the purpose of a review and all opinions are my own.
