PAMLICO MOON by Tressa Messenger Excerpt

PAMLICO MOON by Tressa Messenger
Publisher: Limitless Publishing
Release Date: October 13, 2015
- SYNOPSIS -
Come, child, let me tell you a story—like Romeo and Juliet, but better…

That story was tragic, but what if everything changed?

What if, despite all the pain and anguish from their families, the young lovers had faith and remained true to their hearts?

What if they’d run away and started over, leaving everything behind—money, family, and suffocating plans made for them by others?

What if their love endured…forever?

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if that were true? And maybe it is—somewhere. You just have to believe.

But what I want you to understand is this—Love is not always easy, nor is it always kind, but it is always worth it…
And even more precious under the beautiful light of the Pamlico Moon.

- EXCERPT -
“Romeo and Juliet is known as the most famous love story. The couple met young and fell in love instantly, but the only way they were able to be together was in death. The first time I saw Romeo and Juliet performed, I was among the crowd that grieved for the beautiful, tragic couple. But now that I’ve lived, I believe a true love story is when two people love and grow together. They struggle and start a family. They become old and get sick, but all the while they remain deeply in love, supporting and respecting each other. That’s a true love story. That is my love story. I’ve loved one person for almost my whole life, even when life separated us, my feelings never changed. He was my best friend, my home, my Pamlico moon.”
