Praise for Melanie's Evanescent Journey by B Truly:

"This was an awesome story. I felt so bad for Mel when Bryan kept putting her off. She definitely had an eventful life. I'm so glad everything worked out in the end. She found the love of her life and got to live her life and accomplish her dreams. I recommend this book!"-Kathy, Goodreads Reviewer "Melanie’s Evanescent Journey is a novella a part of The Sonar Trilogy. Each book is told from a different point of view and this book was of course told from Melanie’s. I have never read any book from this author and I was very pleased by her writing. She made me engrossed in this book and had my emotions running wild. You know it’s a great read when your emotions are so invested that you can’t help but think about what you read for a few days after. I commend B. Truly for getting her readers so involved, and for that this book gets 5 fangs! Interview

1.    What does your family think of your writing?
My family thinks it’s great that I write and that I am fulfilling my number one passion.
2.    What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
I’ve learned the more I write the more ideas I come up with for other stories. I never thought once I committed to publishing my first book that all these ideas for different plot stories would arise.
My mind wanders into my book realm several times a day. It’s nice to mix the real world with fantasy.
3.    How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
I have written 5 books, but I have self-published three. My favorite is Sonar The Surge. It is the 3rd book in the Sonar Series that I am currently working on now. This novel is the darkest in the series. I am enjoying writing Dark Sci-fi, Romance. I like that it pushes my limits.
4.    Do you have any suggestions to help me become a better writer? If so, what are they?
I believe that writing is a gift and a art. And that every author has their own way to create the story they envision. Once you have a main plot, my advice would be to write all the ideas you have. Then you can start putting the ideas together. I’ve learned that a book never tells you its story in order. You get bits and pieces, so that is how you have to learn how to write. Not Chapter 1 until the end, but as the ideas come to you.
Also, if you get mind blocked on a scene then work on something else. The idea will come to you when you least expect it.
5. Do you like to create books for adults?
Yes. My favorite is New Adult.
6. What do you think makes a good story?
I think that a great plot is the most important element to making a good story. But I myself love; romance, action, and mystical beings with phenomenal powers.
7. As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
I’ve always loved the medical field. And I’ve wanted to be an author since I was fifteen years old.
8. What Would you like my readers to know?
I would like my readers to know that even though I write Sci-fi and Fantasy, as a writer, you still have to implement real life aspects into the story. I feel it helps readers to connect with my character by using real life scenarios. The fun part is getting to add the sci-fi and fantasy elements into the story.
