Book Description:
Underground fighter Cage
Montgomery was use to making it on his own. When a man in a two-piece suit
showed up during his training session, he wasn’t the least bit curious. But
Frank, his mentor and the only father figure he’d ever known, ordered him to go
to the Hamptons to see his long-lost father.
Cage finds much more than that…he
discovers he has a step-sister that makes his body—and his heart—feel alive for
the very first time in years.
Theirs was not a forbidden
love…but was it a love never meant to be?

Excerpt:
Abby looked at
me through the dark veil of her lashes and I could tell she was dying to ask me
why I wanted a computer. She looked damn cute this morning. Her hair fell down
her back in soft waves and she had on the slightest touch of makeup. Not that
she needed it. She was beautifully fresh faced. Today she wore a green and
brown outfit that clung to her curves in all the right places.
About
the Author:
Marie loves anything romance.
Give her a story about curvy gals and alpha males and she’s one happy person.
She writes what she likes to read. All of her stories feature a big, buffed man
who takes one look at the woman meant to be his and falls down on his knees.
Each of her stories comes with a happily-ever-after all their own.
Interview
Where are you from?
I’m not at liberty to say…No, seriously, I write
some very heated content, and well…
Tell us your latest news?
After He’s So Fine is my
new release. It’s a stepbrother/bbw romance. I’m excited about it since it is a
departure from my usual paranormal/shifter romances.
After that, I’m in an anthology Wicked After Dark
with some very talented ladies. The anthology will be on sale for the entire
month of October and proceeds will benefit the epilepsy foundation. My
contribution is You Lucky Witch, a stand-alone novella.
When and why did you begin writing?
I’ve been writing since I can remember. I’ve been
writing romance for oh, a lot of years. Don’t want to give away my age. Why
does anyone write? It’s just something inside you that has to get out. Your
creative side that won’t be banished.
When did you first consider yourself a writer?
Still don’t some days, but I guess this year I’m slowly
realizing if I wasn’t so faint of heart I could quit my day job and make a
living.
What inspired you to write your first book?
My dead-end day job. Really. I saw no other way to
make more money and to do something I love.
Do you have a specific writing style?
Nope. Are there writing styles? Must have missed
that class in school. I do almost always write in the third person – except for
He’s So Fine – which is written in the first person. I write hot, hot love scenes
and I always give a happy ending.
How did you come up with the title?
I knew it was a song title, and it just popped into
my head when I was writing a scene where the hero was looking at him. Joey’s
line from friends just didn’t seem like the right thing to use. (Which, by the
way, is my favorite ever line!)
Is there a message in your novel that you want
readers to grasp?
Yes. Everyone deserves love. Whether you are broken
from your past, or self-conscious about your looks, you are loveable. Plus,
love does exist, we just have to open ourselves up to it sometimes.
How much of the book is realistic?
Well, that would be telling about my own love life
wouldn’t it, if I said the sex scenes were true or not true. I think it’s very
realistic. Love happens and sometimes you have no control over who you love,
whether it’s “forbidden” or not.
Are experiences based on someone you know, or events
in your own life?
No. I have no
stepbrothers or stepsiblings and I certainly can’t afford to summer in the
Hamptons, nor have I meet a MMA fighter. That one is on my bucket list.
What books have most influenced your life most?
Romance. All types, all authors. My family would
call me a closet romantic because I am very practical, so maybe that’s why I’m
drawn to them the most.
If you had to choose, which writer would you
consider a mentor?
That’s so difficult to say. Since I’ve been
self-publishing, I’ve meet so many wonderful authors who are willing to share
what they’ve learned. The indie community is much more open and communitive
than the traditional publishing world. Umm, when I think about it that probably
means we could take over the world.
What book are you reading now?
I have many, many in my to read pile. Some are from
Ruby Shae, Lola Kidd, Mandy Roth and Eve Langlais to name but a few.
Are there any new authors that have grasped your
interest?
Unfortunately, I’ve not had time to explore all the
new authors coming up. That’s a Christmas project.
What are your current projects?
You Lucky Witch is my most current work in progress
to be released October 1, 2015. Then, I’m in another anthology, a Christmas
one. My contribution, tentatively, is Holiday with the Bear. After that, I’m
finishing Liam and Janet’s story from The Blackwood Brothers Book.
