Synopsis
What happens when you continually run from your demons?
When Mia watched Ethan walk out of her life, she did what she did best—she ran—ran from the only person who ever made her feel safe; home.
They work even harder to try and find you.
He was her everything and she let him slip away.
And when they do … they’ll come at you full force, guns blazing.
Hitting rock bottom forced Mia to stop. Now she needed to dig herself out. Figuring out how to do that required help, maybe a plan. She had to face those demons. Not an easy task when she spent her entire life running from them.
Would Ethan still be there for Mia after all was said and done? Or would she find that he had moved on? Or would he still be into her?

“Should we even be doing this?” he asked, kissing her chin. “We both know how you have a tendency to lose control when we make out.”
A laugh escaped her as she looked at him in incredulous wonder. Keep making her laugh, he thought.
“Yeah, maybe you’re right,” she said, settling back on the couch.
Until she turns the tables on me.
“Wait. Seriously?”
“I really don’t want Allie to be mad. She’ll make my life miserable. Though,” she said, tracing his lips with her finger, “I am pretty tempted.”
About The Author
During the day, Ryleigh is an analyst, but even then, she’s writing, sneakily crafting scenes on post-it notes. She's been told she's a bit of a geek...some say nerd. She'll agree to it all. She loves music. It's been a force in her life for as long as she can remember. Her love of Star Wars and superheroes has probably been going on just as long...see, this is where the geek/nerd thing comes into play. But, most of all, Ryleigh loves the written word. She's been writing for a long time. Her first story came to her during one of her history classes. She wrote it in the margins of her notebook in teeny tiny letters so no one knew that she was writing a book instead of taking notes on 16th Century Europe. She currently lives in Chicago, Illinois, with her husband and son, along with her Siberian Husky, Mick Jagger, and her cat, Winston Churchill.
Interview
1. When did
you first realize you wanted to be a writer? In
college, escaping from history.
2. How long
does it take you to write a book? I did write a
book once in one month but it still needs to go thru my process of revisions …
so to get done with that, I’d say about 3-4 months.
3. What is
your work schedule like when you're writing? I have
no set schedule. I write when I can—at work during a break; on the train; at
night after dinner; in the car, speaking into the voice recorder.
4. What
would you say is your interesting writing quirk? I
write my stories on post-it notes.
5. How do
books get published? Heck, I’m not entirely sure
yet. Each time I seem to learn something new and I expect that to happen each
and every time.
6. Where do
you get your information or ideas for your books? I
like to think in what-ifs. It’s normally there that I find a story.
7. When did
you write your first book and how old were you? I
was 19 and I wrote it during one of my many history classes while we supposed
to be watching boring movies about art.
8. What do
you like to do when you're not writing? Read. Spend
time with my family. Puzzles. Photography.
9. What does
your family think of your writing? My 8 year-old
thinks I’m the coolest. The rest of my family follows his lead.
10. What was
one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books? I like to create angst.
11. How many
books have you written? Which is your favorite?
Published: 2. Written: 7. So far, Still Into You is my favorite.
12. Do you
have any suggestions to help me become a better writer? If so, what are they?
*
Constantly write down your ideas, even if it’s just a couple of lines.
*
Always have pen and paper with you.
* Don’t
worry about making the line perfect the first go around. Just get the general
idea. Prettying it up will happen later.
*
Just get the words out!
13. Do you
hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say? YES! I love hearing from them. I love interacting and
hearing their reactions to the stories. They do use lots of choice words … many
that would get censored out if published ;)
14. Do you
like to create books for adults? Exclusively. LOL
