Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo’s Saturn Surprise by Dr. Oneeka Williams Review

Boston, MA – Boston-based surgeon and author Dr. Oneeka Williams has announced the publication of her new children’s book Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo’s Saturn Surprise, the third book in her Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo Book Series.

“The rings of Saturn go round and round, disappeared one day and could not be found. To put them back, just take a chance, And join me in the Saturn Dance!”

DR. DEE DEE DYNAMO–GIRL SUPER HERO– Born with supernatural powers from electrical energy, 9-year old girl Super Surgeon, Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo, jets around the Universe from her home base on the Island of Positivity fixing problems with her gifted hands. While visiting the local Planetarium one day, Gordon the Gullible Globe sounds the alarm that Saturn's rings have disappeared. Dr. Dee Dee is skeptical but mobilizes her team of assistants and surgical instruments on an intriguing and SURPRISING mission to Saturn. The rings are literally revolting when she arrives and Saturn is distressed and overwhelmed by the uprising and the continued scrutiny of the Cassini-Huygen’s Spacecraft! 'Hot off the press' science information is shared as Dr. Dee Dee negotiates with the rings, moves and grooves to the 'Do the Saturn Dance' and surgically reconstructs the rings!

SATURN IN THE NEWS– THE CASSINI MISSION–Scientists have been discussing a possible new moon forming around the planet Saturn. This moon, which they named “Peggy”, was spotted in images taken by NASA’s Cassini spacecraft in April 2013. However, two months ago, at a presentation at the American Geophysical Union meeting, Cornell University’s Matthew Tiscareno revealed that Peggy had probably broken apart, with images showing not just one moon-betraying smear in the rings, but two. In fact, "instead of catching a moon in the act of forming, scientists may have glimpsed a moon in the act of dying.” (National Geographic, The Sad Story of Peggy, Saturn's Newest Moon, Jan. 27, 2015)

THIRD BOOK IN DR. DEE DEE DYNAMO BOOK SERIES: Dr. Williams first two children's books were published in 2014: Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo's Mission to Pluto and Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo’s Meteorite MIssion. All three are available at Amazon.com in hardcover and ebook versions.

INCLUDES GLOSSARY, LEARNING WORDS, RESOURCE GUIDE & MORE–The inside flap cover has a list of medical tools inside Dr. Dee Dee’s bag. After the story, the ending includes a glossary, one page of learning words, ten discovery questions, a seven-step math challenge, and resource guide.

My Review:
My nephew loves space right now and this is a perfect book for him. I love that it talks about the planets in the order they are closest to the sun. I also really liked how detailed the book was with Saturn's rings and moons. The author did a great job of making this book fun though and I loved the characters like Wyndee Watch! I also really liked the graphics, I actually learned a lot from this book like how a geyser forms. There is also a glossary at the end to learn words you don't know, a resource guide, a math challenge, some questions and more, I am giving this book a 5/5. I was given a copy to review via Bostick, however all opinions are my own.
