The Apostle - Destiny by Dylan Hiler Review

Name: The Apostle - Destiny
Author: Dylan Hiler
Word Count: ~109,000
Genre: Fantasy - with mystery and suspense elements
Back Text:

"The night sky adorned of two moons, Vera and Dawn, Tarthuria bathes in the silence of mystery and intrigue. One of the comets of Tiera Cylith has landed in the village of Fairwillow and has punctured the ground with an indelible prophecy. The Apostle were the words burned into the crater left after the willow tree had been destroyed.
Through troubled times, of which Fairwillow experienced its fair share, an ancient witch by the name of Famora has cursed Sath and Elle’s family. Their first born, Raios, is condemned to be The Apostle – the one that would throw the destiny of the village into doomed days.
Yet, Sath Eden is not to be swayed. But who is this other woman in his life? Who is Sibyl? Will she spell the final condemnation of the entire village? Sath had to vanquish the omen, dispel the augury, and destroy Famora."

Age Range: This novel is meant for 13+, there is no gratuitous violence, sex, or swearing, but it has an overarching dark theme and deals with heavy handed subjects such as theft, drugs, infidelity, and bullying.

My Review:
This cover (front and back) really caught my attention. My favorite part of the book was on page 132 when the author talks about relationships being a two way street. I liked that he included all different relationships, and not just the ones that connect us by blood. The world that the author created was interesting, and it had two moons. The book ended too fast for me, however I did like all the family drama that came with the association of being the cursed. I am giving this book a 4/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
