Book Description:
Consumed by the need to feed…
After an out-of-control spell
triggers the zombie apocalypse, Lizzy Addams is left in the ruins of Chicago
with only the slightly unhinged commentary—and endless erotic appetites—of her
inner demon for company. Her blood supply dwindling, she is forced to find
survivors to feed from, or die trying.
Officer Angela Kinney was on duty
when hungry corpses overwhelmed the city. The survivors look to her for
leadership, but nothing prepared her for a beautiful monster who offers safety
in exchange for blood.
Sean MacMillan never expected to
see Lizzy again after she rejected his attempts to lure her back to the vampire
fold. But with his flock threatened by the horde and his murderous vampire
brother, Lizzy is the only one he can trust to keep them safe.
The veil of secrecy shrouding the
supernatural world torn apart, humanity’s only hope is to forge an alliance
with vampires, werewolves, and things that go bump in the night. Though
accepting their aid could be a devil’s bargain that puts humans at the bottom
of the food chain.
Warning:
Contains vampire orgies, angsty demon sex, a frisky lesbian werewolf, light
kink, and enough sex toys to start a store.

Interview
Where are you from?
Chicago, which is why I like to set books there. Bite Me is set in a
post-zombie-apocalypse Chicago.
Tell us your latest news?
Well, I broke my hand in February, so that’s slowed
down my writing. I hope to have the first book in my fantasy series out later
this year, long with more Bad Witch books.
When and why did you begin writing?
I’ve always been a writer, it’s my passion. I
started my first novel in eighth grade—a terrible epic fantasy with unicorns
and dragons. I was hooked, and I wanted more.
When did you first consider yourself a writer?
In eighth grade, the first time I saw the words of
my story typed on a page.
What inspired you to write your first book?
My first published novel, Blood, Smoke and Mirrors, began as my first National Novel Writing
Month project in 2006. After three years of edits and revisions it was picked
up by Samhain Publishing in 2009.
Do you have a specific writing style?
Snarky. I like to write heroines with sharp wits and
even sharper swords.
How did you come up with the title?
For a long time Bite
Me was known as “my zombie apocalypse novel.” But Bite Me seemed appropriate considering the copious amount of
vampires and zombies in the book, and my smartass heroine Lizzy.
Is there a message in your novel that you want
readers to grasp?
That even when the world is ending, there are things
worth living for—and fighting for. I’ve been through some rough times these
past few years, and it’s taught me to never give up.
How much of the book is realistic?
Well, I hope vampires and zombies aren’t real…
Are experiences based on someone you know, or events
in your own life?
Again, I hope vampires aren’t real. I did give Lizzy
a love of online computer games based on my years of experience playing
mmorpgs.
What books have most influenced your life?
Nora Roberts’ Dance
Upon the Air was the book that renewed my love of romance, and it drew me
to writing paranormal romance. I love including the supernatural in my stories.
If you had to choose, which writer would you
consider a mentor?
I want to be Nora Roberts when I grow up.
What book are you reading now?
Oddly enough, as I write this I’m reading Nora’s The Next Always.
Are there any new authors that have grasped your
interest?
I LOVE K.J. Charles. I started with Think of England and then read the
Magpie Lord books. So good.
What are your current projects?
More of everything—more sci-fi, more fantasy, more
paranormal. I always have a lot of books on my plate.
What would you like my readers to know?
Never trust a
billionaire vampire. Lizzy is only a millionaire, so she’s okay. ;-)
