The chemistry between them soon makes him admit she s grown into a whole lot of woman. But, George and Carlene want to stay friends rather than lovers, so they think. She takes a job in Arkansas to escape the heat of the farm. With the whole winter ahead, she feels she ll have enough time to resolve her inner conflict over her relationship with George. Until, several incidents send George out to rescue her. Can they work out how they feel before getting back to the farm? Can she decide how much he needs to know about the past three months? How can they meet in the middle of this quandary, resolve the issues, and possibly create a permanent bond? Hopefully, love will find a way. About the Author

Essie Grant is a former Postal worker who survived by keeping her head down and her mouth shut – for the most part. After that 15 years she owned a business and worked running it and assisting customers. During that time, she also wrote essays that won products from manufacturing companies, articles that appeared in Trade magazines and local papers. Writing has been an interest since her teenage years and she is now pursuing that career full time. CARLENE’S DISCOVERY is her breakout novel and it follows a woman whose life in no way reflects her own. Essie has been married to her husband for over twenty years and works well with him in all of their endeavors. His assistance in her books in invaluable – not as a character or model of one, but as her formatter and occasional proofreader.

My Review:

This is an adult book, and not for young readers. I liked the title and it fit the book. This is a book that any woman, who has been cheated on, relate to. Carlene leaves her husband to explore different relationships. She falls for one of her lovers and has to decide if she is ready to have a true relationship with him. This was a good book about getting back on your feet and having to be a strong woman. I am giving this book a 4/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
