He grew up in the mountains of Washington State, eight miles from the nearest town. Even with all that solitude, he read very little as a child and got Cs and Ds in the only writing class he took at the University of Washington.

Even though for most of his life Bill wanted to be a dentist, he kept getting the impression God wanted him to be in filmmaking. Bill fell into writing when he was directing a play in Los Angeles and a producer asked him to write a television show. Besides his studies in film directing in Rome, Bill holds a degree in Theater Arts from the University of Washington and an honorary doctorate from the Theological Institute of Nimes, France, where he taught.

My Review:
There are so many non fiction books about religion that it is nice to read ones that make you laugh. Religion is banned and people that won't stop are sent to an institution. When they get there they realize that they can be as strange as they want. The messages in this book are relevant and worth the read. However anyone can read this book and enjoy it. I liked that they all had nicknames like Trashman and One Eye. The ending was also good. I am giving this book a 4/5. I wasgiven a copy to review from Book Club Network Inc., however all opinions are my own.
