About The Author

After losing my job in the architectural drafting field and discovering the local music scene in 2006, I embarked on a career change and have never looked back. I have always been a writer of sorts. I write down thoughts, poetry, and just stories that seem to come from nowhere. Being that I love writing so much, I decided on making a career out of it. Since starting my new career, I have written for a local music magazine called Music Entertainment Magazine and have since moved on to writing for All Access Music Magazine as well as Man-Up Magazine, Session Magazine and Examiner.com. Combining my love for writing with music and the local music scene only seemed like a natural thing to do.

Since discovering my new career path, I have been writing on various other topics as well as continuing to write about music. I am in the process of helping to write a book called The Anomaly. Writing has always been my passion, my solace, my one true lover. It has never let me down or left me with a broken heart. To this day, even though I am working for magazines and writing a book, I still will write poetry, thoughts and stories that derive out of nowhere. The passion to write comes from within the very depths of my soul and runs rapidly through my veins. There isn't anything I won’t place pen to paper or key strokes to a keyboard over, just as long as I get to do it with the heart and soul I feel it deserves.

Interview:

Where are you from?

I am originally from upstate New York in the Hudson Valley. My current home is in Ocala, Fl.

When and why did you begin writing?

I began writing as a teenager. My first heartbreak spurred my passion for writing.

When did you first consider yourself a writer?

When my first local magazine article was published, only then did I consider myself a writer.

How did you come up with the title?

The title actual came to me as I was driving past a farm. I saw a man walking in and out of a stable and there it was, The Stable Boy.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

Just because you think you have lost the only love you have ever known, there is always more to be found. Never give up on love, always listen to your heart.

What book are you reading now?

Currently, I am reading Hiding Away (Anchored Hearts Vol.1.5) by the lovely JM Witt

Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?

JM Witt, TK Leigh, JM Walker, TH Snyder, Ann Vaughn, Jaden Wilkes, AJ Harmon, and Kate Roth

What are your current projects?

Currently, I am working on a thriller titled The Paynes Prairie Murders.

Can you share a little of your current work with us?

Sure can. Here is a little excerpt:

His kill for tonight was going to have to wait. He knew that cop was going to be watching him over the next couple of days. That was okay. He had a plaything at home he could continue to torture before he captured a new one and ended her life. Her pretty blue eyes still had so much life in them. He couldn’t wait to add them to his collection of souvenirs.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

Letting it go. Every writer is going to have people that love their work and despise their work. Finding the right balance to satisfy every reader is a big challenge.

Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

No, I have seen authors do signing events, but I have yet to attend one myself. I am looking forward to doing some in the future.

Who designed the covers?

Erin Bisanti of ENBPhotography and Graphic Design did the book cover for The Stable Boy and will be doing the cover for The Paynes Prairie Murders.

Do you have any advice for other writers?

Keep doing what you love. If you have a passion for it, you will find your audience.

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

I hope that you find a favorite author and stick by them. Indie authors need you as much as the bigger named authors, find one you like and discover a whole new world of books.

What would you like my readers to know?

The Stable Boy is my first attempt at a fiction novel. I love to hear from the readers and I welcome messages from them. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

My Review:
This is the perfect example of a cowboy romance. Claire is a widow and she is afraid to open up and let new people in her heart. There are so many things that a widow has to do, especially when they are grieving. It is only with an open heart that you can start to let go and regroup. When a farmhand walks into Claire's life she must decide if it is time to do certain things and to let someone else in. When will she be ready to move her husband's belongings? Should she move them at all? This was a really nice book about the love between mates, and how they deal with losing one another. I am giving this book a 5/5. I was given a copy to review by the author via Blogtour.org, however all opinions are my own.
