Then one day, a message arrives from a stranger. A man who knows her face and her past, and who starts Madison on a journey of self discovery that she never could have imagined. The Shattered Castles Series, in Five Words

Dark: These aren’t terribly happy books. While I do believe in happy endings, the path to them isn’t always easy.
Dramatic: Pretty much whatever can go wrong for my characters does go wrong.
Spiritual: There are a lot of religious characters. Contrary to some reviewers on Amazon, they are not my attempt to convert readers to religion. There is, after all, a difference in depicting religion and preaching it.
Affirming: Family and family bonds are at the heart of each story. No one’s ever completely alone.

Ironic: Well, some of my characters are, at least. But anyone who knows my writing knows my sarcasm.
