The River of God by Russell M. Stendal Review

This world is in a state of constant unrest, but we must not be distracted from what God is doing now and in the future. God is patient, but soon He will restore His chosen people to a right relationship with Him, though this comes at a cost. All humanity will be affected. Your world will be changed in unprecedented ways and drinking from the River of God is the only answer.
The River of God opens with the river in the garden of Eden, defines God’s plans through biblical prophecy, numerology, and typology, and culminates in Revelation with the pure river of life proceeding from the throne of God for His people.
Are you ready to stand firm during the coming tumultuous times? Discover your strength in the waters that flow from the River of God.

About the Author
Russell Stendal, a former hostage of Colombian rebels, is a lifelong missionary to that same group in the jungles of Colombia. He is an influential friend to military and government leaders in Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, and the United States. Russell’s ministry shares the gospel via twelve radio stations, hundreds of thousands of Bibles, books, and movies distributed through airplane parachute drops, and numerous speaking engagements for groups of leaders, prisoners, and individuals. Russell goes wherever the Lord leads, whether it’s to speak with a president or go deep into the jungle to help an individual in trouble. He has witnessed thousands commit their lives to Christ.

My Review:
This is a book to read when you are making your confirmation, or any time that you want to connect with God. There are a lot of different things that the author talks about, but the book is easily read and does not dragged on. I liked that this book started in Genesis. The author also included Revelations and it was nice to have Revelations explained and discussed. It was interesting that the Revelations were discussed out of numerical order, and it was easier to read about them. The author was a former hostage and he definitely knows a lot about faith. I agree that we need to drink from the cup of God, and a lot of people are unsure where to find it. The talk of God "restoring" his rightful people made me feel as though the world was going to end. I would have liked a more positive way of the author stating " Your world will be changed in unprecedented ways." It seemed that a lot of humanity will be doomed. However the author does a great job of talking about the Bible in his own way that made this book an easy read for me. I am giving this book a 3/5. I was given a copy to review from Life Sentence Publishing, however all opinions are my own.
