About the book:
Are you spending your life making bricks, wearily scraping works together by the power of your own strength? Or are you a living stone, propelled by the power of the Divine? This newly revised and expanded exploratory study of God’s Word teaches you how to distinguish between the two.
Many live with the misconception that once we’ve received the gift of salvation, it doesn’t really matter what we do. We operate under this mistaken belief: if we’re redeemed and covered by grace, it will all work out in the end, right?
According to God’s Word, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Our daily choices profoundly impact our experience of both this earthly life and our eternal one. The truth is, how you live matters. Your posture and attitude as a child of God dictates the extent of His abundance poured out to you on earth, as well as the blessing reserved for you in heaven.
Learn how to position yourself to receive the all-surpassing gift: the presence of Jesus making Himself known in your life. As you begin to operate within the bounds of His purpose for you, you will discover the incomparable joy and satisfaction that can only come from doing what you were made to do. And your soul will sing. Follow Him, dear one. You’ll gain everything.

Kelley Latta is a Bible teacher and event speaker whose passion is teaching believers how to approach Christ through His Word so they can live transformed.
Having professed faith in Jesus as a child in Christian school, Kelley was confronted in her mid-twenties by the reality that her beliefs about Christianity didn’t match up with Jesus’ teachings. Compelled into the Word to discover Truth for herself, she encountered Jesus through its pages and finally experienced the transforming power of grace. She now aims to help the body realize the saving reality of authentic intimacy with Jesus Christ.
Kelley’s Teaching Will Help You . . .
- Encounter Christ through His Word
- Learn to love a God you can’t see
- Position yourself to see Christ revealed in your Life
- Experience the transforming power of grace
- Break the chains of your past and live your God-given future
Kelley and her husband, Steve, live in Hanover, PA where they both serve in leadership roles in their home church, Hanover First Church of God. When not writing or teaching, Kelley can be found at the soccer fields watching her two teenage sons play or loving on their two Australian Shepherds. Her greatest hope is that her life will reflect the authentic character of Jesus.
My Review:
This is a great asset for any one who wants to read the Bible. It includes places for you to write down your thoughts. The are 4 chapters and each one represents a week. Within each week are 5 days to study. This was good for me because I did not have to do it every day. I was also able to rad along as my sister talked to her kids about the Bible. There are daily truths and weekly reflections. I also liked that there were reading comprehension questions, rather than just reiterating the words. At the end there is a list of discussion questions, and a commitment prayer. I wish that I had this book while I was going to my Confirmation classes. I am giving this book a 5/5. I was given a copy to review from The Book Club Network Inc., however all opinions are my own.
