Rest not in Peace by Mel Starr Review
I had the opportunity to read the book before this in the series, The Tainted Coin. I really like that they are mysteries that take place in the time era of Sherlock Holmes. I also like that the main inspector is a doctor. Hugh is a surgeon and he knows about anatomy. He knows when something does not add up. I also like that there is always something on the body, or near it, that is left as a clue. Then Hugh follows the clue to another and another. I also followed the clues, but I suspected someone else as the killer. When Hugh thought it was the same killer as I did I was so proud! However the author tricked me and found a new clue. Then I was so confused. I figured the killer with a very a very important bloody item. Hugh set a trap for the killer and I could not believe he fell for it. Hugh set another trap to see who the accomplices were as well. I could not believe how all of the clues fell into place. As a fan of "Clue" the game, and murder mystery dinners/ boat rides, I am giving this book a 5/5. I was given a copy to review from Kregel, however all opinions are my own.
