My Review:
This was a good book. A really good book. There were many different reasons why I liked this book. Some are spoilers and it is hard for me to decide what to type without giving anything away. First, Hypothermia in the San Francisco Bay got me from the beginning. I was so worried that she would die, without knowing who she was. Then she was in a psych hospital. She has a condition that made her lose her memories of basically everything but simple tasks. She can function throughout the day, but she has no idea who she is. I was waiting for a twist about who she was. However the author made Lucie's character multifaceted. She was many characters in one body. She was a fiancee, a stubborn, self centered, work driven, hardened person. Then once she loses her memory she is a nicer, calmer Lucie looking for answers from her past. She sees remnants of herself, and has to piece the puzzle together. However not all the pieces fit together again, at least not in the same order. Grady was a likable character. I could understand why he had reservations about falling in love with Lucie again. However once I knew the secrets of the past I felt really bad for Lucie and Grady and just wanted them to fall in love, be happy, and get married. This is a great read, no matter if you are on the beach, or on a plane. I am giving this book a 5/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
