My Review:
This was a very well planned out story the author wrote characters that were so involved that I felt as though they were real people that I was catching up with. However, this was a very confusing story to follow. Once you got involved with the plot and read more about the characters I felt as though my reading became a journey. So many different things were happening that it took me some time to figure out the truth. It gave insight to family dynamics that had to have been hard to write about. The author has a talent for drawing the reader in and keeping them entertained. The characters came alive, some I cared about and some I hated! I definitely recommend this book for people that like to read a long involved fulfilling story and when you need to know every character. That is why I am giving this a 4/5! It was an excellent story line, and an excellent read.
I got a copy of the book for this review, but all my opinions are my own.

ReplyDeleteI read The Angry Woman Suite... and loved it! It is an intensely deep family dynamic based type of saga. Complicated for sure. I found it challenging to keep all the relationships straight but overall - I gave it five stars! I plan to read it again. Thanks for the great post!
ReplyDeleteI, too, was totally engrossed in this book as I read...it was very intense and utterly compelling! I really loathed Francis. UGH. UGH UGH UGH. :)
ReplyDeleteFrancis was horrible! I loved the book, but I was so sad. It was probably one of the more tragic family stories I have read..
ReplyDeleteI loved the way you couldn't always trust the narrator. Everyone had their own perspective on the truth, just like real life.
ReplyDeleteI didn't hate Francis. I understood him to a point, sympathized with him. But most of this would have never happened if it weren't for Jamie insisting on lying, How different things would have been! The book showed how one lie and taint entire lives!
