Knights of the Darkness by D.N. Simmons books 4 and 5 reviews!!! Still going strong.

In this installment, be prepared for the ultimate supernatural adventure! It's no holds barred in this tale and there's going to be hell to pay! A single orchestrated attack initiates a hunt unlike Darian and his friends have ever encountered. You really don't want to miss out. The ante has been upped and they are out for blood!

My Review:
This is the 4th book in the series, and I have read them all. This one was about helping out friends in need. The way the different "prides" stuck together for each other was really nice to read. Then the stuck up for their friends. They risked it all for each other and the human race.
There is definitely someone looking to make vampires look bad. Darian and his "team" go after the killers to make things right. The did not take their enemies strength into consideration though. It is a tough fight and there will be casualties. I liked this book because Darian finally showed some vulnerability. Natasha also makes a decision, and I did not expect it. The end was great, and I had to read part 5 as soon as I could.
The sex scenes were steamy and the character attraction was strong.
I am giving this book a 5/5.

Darian, Elise and Xander have been through very rough times in the past, but nothing has prepared them for the menace that is causing all kinds of havoc in their territory this time around. Chicago is at the mercy, or lack thereof, of a ruthless gang of supernaturals who seem to take extreme pleasure in other people's pain. In this game of cat and mouse, there's no way to tell who's the predator and who's the prey. This book has been previously published and has been substantially revised from its original release.

My Review:
Okay, D.N. got me mad this time. lol She left me with a cliffhanger. Ugh. She did leave an author's note, but That is why I am giving this book a 4 and not a 5. To me endings are not ended if I am left with a cliffhanger and questions. There was definitely a lot I learned about the lions and their habits in this book.
Natasha fulfills her request from the previous book, and I loved every minute of it. Poor Darian.
I also liked this book because it went through someone getting bit, and learning to be a shifter. Again these friends care more about each other then some blood relatives I know.  However when Darian comes up against someone stronger that himself, his friends need to get an old "friend" of Darian's. There was so much about Darian as a younger vampire and how he got to be himself. Questions were answered about his past and friendships were mended. There were also steamy sex scenes!
The rest of the team is also up against terrible odds. Will strength in numbers be enough? I loved the banter in this book with Kysen and I hope that he is in the last book. I also liked how Christopher was introduced, and I would like to read about his growth.
I need to know what happens to Warren...
I am giving this book a 4/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.
