Josiah's Treasure by Nncy Herriman review!

This week, the

Josiah's Treasure
Worthy Publishing (April 16, 2013)
by
Nancy Herriman

In 1882, Sarah Whittier dreams of opening an art studio run by immigrant women. She plans to use the house left to her by family friend Josiah Cady as collateral for her studio. But will all be lost when the inheritance is challenged by an angry man claiming to be Josiah's son and legal heir? Rumor of gold nuggets hidden in the house, place Sarah's life in danger. Her future uncertain and her safety threatened, Sarah has nowhere to turn. That is, unless she can soften a vengeful man's heart-and they both learn that love is finer than any gold.

Nancy Herriman abandoned a career in Engineering to chase around two small children and take up the pen. She has been writing for longer than she would like to admit. Her work has been a finalist in several Romance Writers of America contests and she won the 2006 RWA Daphne du Maurier award for Best Unpublished Mystery/Romantic Suspense. In 2009, she was an ACFW Genesis finalist. She is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Romance Writers of America.

When she is not writing, or gabbing over lattes about writing, she is either watching history shows on cable TV or singing. She lives in the Midwest with her husband and sons, and wishes there were more hours in the day.

My Review:
I love strong women from past generations. Sarah inherited a house and enough money to start her own business for the less fortunate. She also has a past that can ruin her. She is determined and has to basically beg for the lease to her studio. However she does manage to get the lease and she also manages to sell a painting. Everything in going great until Daniel shows up.
Daniel's father left him and his siblings and never looked back. Daniel's mom was also left behind. Josiah thought that his kids died from the flu. Sarah never expected to see an heir, especially one that made her heart yearn. Daniel has tunnel vision and only cares about getting what his father owes him, no matter who gets hurt.
Josiah was said to have hid a treasure of gold. People start attacking Sarah's house, and no one is safe. It is during a fight with an intruder that some letters are found. The letters had an impact on everyone involved. Will the truth come out too late for Sarah? Can Daniel accept the truth and move forward? There is so much more at stake than 2 hearts. So many people will be affected by Daniel's decision.
I m giving this book a 5/5 because it was more then a love story to me. It also was about past generations and I liked that twist. I was given a copy to review by CFBA, however all opinions are my own!
