  6. The first Valentine's Day after a big breakup of a 10 year relationship. My Mom & I went out to eat at a place that had soup in a bread bowl. After that, we went to a movie. Mom surprised me doing this, even more so since she hates going to movies! But both those things were my favorites. She had to push me to go out, because I felt too shattered, but she got me to go.

That was over two decades ago, and I still smile when I think of it. Mom is a blessing.

  9. ummm....i guess not celebrating or having anyone to celebrate it with for several years is about as 'anti' as it gets.

  11. A couple years ago I worked at a chocolate store on Valentine's Day! Having to help person after person get there absolutely last minute gift for 8 hours really brings the anti-valentine's day feelings out of you! The year after that I worked at a dollar store and had to blow up nearly 50 balloons and organize 100s of fake flowers on top of helping people with there gift dilemmas!
